In April 2022,the Ministry of Education issued Compulsory Education Labor Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition),which formally established labor as an independent new subject,providing a crucial starting point for comprehensively improving students’ labor core competence and values.The effective implementation of labor curriculum has also become an important proposition related to the realization of the ideal prospect of national education and the construction of a high-quality personnel cultivating system in the new era.Therefore,this study focuses on the implementation of labor curriculum in primary school,taking the labor curriculum standards as the fundamental follow and taking ‘place-based education’ as the basic value position.Through the methods of literature research,survey research,and case research,the study aims to find out the objective existence and educational legitimacy of ‘place’ in labor curriculum implementation,clarify the concept and principle of the place-based implementation of labor curriculum in primary school,and explore the basic links and main strategies.Based on the above analysis,this study is carried out in the following aspects.The first part is the introduction.This part introduces the origin and significance of the study,fully grasps the current research status of labor education,labor education curriculum,and place-based education through the method of literature research,and clarifies the core concepts.It lays a foundation for the development of this research.The second part is an overview of labor curriculum and place-based.On the one hand,the nature orientation and basic characteristics of labor curriculum are expounded.The background,concept analysis and basic characteristics of place-based are explained.On the other hand,the logical connection between labor curriculum and place-based is discussed to clarify the place attribute of labor curriculum.The third part explores the rationality of place-based implementation of labor curriculum in primary school.On the one hand,questionnaires and interviews are used to investigate the current situation of the implementation of labor curriculum in primary schools,as so to find out the existing problems.It reveals the practical necessity of place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum.On the other hand,from the perspectives of sociology,philosophy of life experience and phenomenology of perception,the specific educational suitability of‘place’ is examined.The function logic of‘place’ in the implementation of labor curriculum in primary school is also expounded.The fourth part is the concepts and principles of place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum,which mainly elaborates the concepts of adjusting measures to individuals,local conditions and situation.It adheres to the implementation orientation of‘ three-dimensional integration ’ sustainable development,the people-oriented implementation goal of ‘three-level progression ’,the implementation process of three elements of regional reform and the implementation mechanism of ‘joint force of school,family and society education’.Through the construction of concepts and principles,the basic orientation of implementation is clarified.The fifth part is about the links and strategies of place-based implementation of labor curriculum in primary school.On the basis of practical and theoretical examination,the basic links of place-based implementation of labor curriculum in primary school are analyzed and an overall action framework is constructed,including the preparation links in the pre-action stage,the process links in the mid-action stage with its corresponding internal fulcrums and adjustment levers,as well as the result links in the post-action stage.On this basis,the study takes into account the specific problems that exist in the real field,proposing the main strategies for place-based implementation in primary school labor curriculum.First of all,it is necessary to promote the local transformation of national labor curriculum standards in a cascade way,which involves perfecting the implementation mechanism of labor curriculum policies and formulating the overall plans for the implementation of labor curriculum at all level.The second,to strengthen the leadership of the subjects of curriculum practice,it is necessary to enhance the strategic leadership of the local labor curriculum leadership team with the construction of organizational culture,the leadership of principals with the construction of labor curriculum implementation community,and the curriculum leadership of labor teachers with professional development.The third is to promote the place-based development and sharing of labor curriculum resources.On the one hand,develop diverse local labor curriculum resources.On the other hand,establish a multi-level linkage and multi-participation labor curriculum resource sharing library.Fourthly,the place-based implementation of labor courses with distinctive features will be developed.Specifically,it includes actively developing local labor projects,advocating diversified labor practices,constructing a local implementation environment of labor curriculum and constructing a dynamic labor assessment system.The Fifth is the construction of the guarantee mechanism,including the mechanism of family,school and community collaboration,the mechanism of student safety and security,the mechanism of supervision and feedback and the mechanism of labor curriculum experience promotion.The sixth part is a case of place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum.Based on the concepts and principles,a specific labor project is selected for place-based design and analyzed from five aspects,including project objectives,content,field,implementation process and evaluation.It is to show the place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum in a more intuitive and vivid way.The place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum is not only a response to the new curriculum proposal of ‘adapting to local conditions’,but it also goes beyond its meaning to a certain extent,showing a critical reconstruction of local nihilism in the implementation of school labor curriculum.This study seeks to explore the basic links and main strategies of the place-based implementation of primary school labor curriculum in order to help each region and each school find a set of self-consistent methods for implementing the labor curriculum,promoting students’ overall development.
