The new era has put forward new requirements for personnel training,to cultivate all-round development of socialist builders and successors.With the promulgation of the Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Task of Lide Shuren and the Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),the reform of high school geography curriculum has been continuously promoted.However,the traditional geography teaching method can no longer meet the requirements of talent training and new curriculum reform in the new era.It is in urgent need of change to improve the comprehensive quality of students,implement the core quality of geography,and further play the role of geography in talent training.Geography practice activities enrich the geography teaching methods,allowing students to find problems,analyze problems,and solve problems in the process of personal experience.Students can well apply the theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom to real life,and also promote the implementation of the five educations and the improvement of students ’ core literacy in geography.This article investigates the current situation of geography practice activities in senior high schools in Sanmenxia City through questionnaires and interviews,and grasps the problems and causes that arise during the development of geography practice activities in senior high schools in Sanmenxia City.Based on the survey results,the theoretical basis of combing and their own teaching experience,the design of high school geography practice activities is summarized from three aspects : design principles,design basis and design process.Based on the proposed design of high school geography practice activities,four cases of high school geography practice activities are implemented based on the local geographical resources of Sanmenxia City and the activities held by the school.Finally,the implementation effect of geographical practice activities is investigated and analyzed,and suggestions for carrying out high school geographical practice activities are put forward.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)There are the following problems in the development of high school geography practice activities in Sanmenxia : The frequency of geography practice activities is low.The design of geographical practice is not fine.The organization and guidance in the implementation of geographical practice activities are unreasonable.The summary and evaluation of geographical practice activities are not in place.The main reasons for the problems are : Time,security,funding and faculty constraints.geography teachers lack of practical teaching ability.(2)Summarizes the design of high school geography practice.The design principles include practical principles,feasibility principles and diversification principles;The design basis includes the basis of the Ordinary High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),the basis of high school geography teaching materials,the basis of local geography resources,the basis of learning situation and the actual situation of the school and the activities held by the school;The design process includes four links : pre-activity preparation,activity implementation stage,post-activity practice achievement exchange and display,and activity evaluation and reflection.(3)Based on the local geographical resources of Sanmenxia City and the activities held by the school,four cases of high school geography practice activities are implemented,namely,hiking research activities,geographical self-proposition competitions,geographical holiday practice operations(including the investigation of wetland park in Sanmenxia City,the investigation of Sanmenxia Dam Scenic Area,and the investigation of a local production activity in Sanmenxia City),campus geography practice activities-campus rock investigation.Based on the feedback information of students and the observation records of teachers in the activities,this paper reflects on the situation,and puts forward suggestions and matters needing attention to improve the case.(4)After conducting an investigation and analysis of the implementation effect of geographical practical activities,combining the theoretical basis of the previous research,the analysis of the survey results,and my own practical teaching experience in geography,I propose suggestions for developing geographical practical activities in senior high schools: Design and implement geography practice activities from the perspective of students.Teachers should actively participate in geographical practice.Explore feasible ways to reduce the difficulty of implementing geographical practice activities.Geography practice activities as school-based curriculum long-term development.
