With the increasing demand for technical and comprehensive talents in China,the cultivation of subject literacy has become the core requirement of the guiding ideology of primary and secondary education reform,and its essence is to update and improve the requirements for talent cultivation.The educational concept of STEM,which advocates interdisciplinary learning,originally coincides with the current educational requirements in China.However,the current subject based teaching model still dominates in primary and secondary education in China,which means that carrying out complete STEM education still faces difficulties in the current Chinese education system.One of the ways to implement STEM education is to introduce scientific and technological problems in real life into the classroom,and take problems or projects as a foothold to achieve the purpose of students’ active learning.This article uses literature research and case study methods to conduct relevant research on the issue of “how to integrate STEM concepts into high school physics”.The research results may provide a theoretical reference for the design and practice of high school physics teaching based on STEM education concepts.The research ideas of this article are as follows:Firstly,explore the design concept of high school physics teaching based on STEM education concept,and then develop the content of high school physics textbooks.Design and practice the selected content based on the principles and processes of high school physics teaching design based on STEM concept,and finally analyze the practical effect.This article mainly completes three tasks by studying the research achievements of predecessors and independently analyzing and designing:1.By reviewing STEM related literature,this paper summarizes the origin and development of STEM concepts in the United States,the current research status of the integration of STEM education concepts with high school physics teaching in China,and summarizes the shortcomings of existing STEM case studies in China.2.Summarized the concept and teaching mode of STEM,and proposed the principles and processes of high school physics teaching design under the STEM concept.The design principles include: scientificity,integration,highlighting the characteristics of physics,and interest.The design process includes: selecting teaching content,analyzing teaching objects,establishing teaching objectives,designing teaching processes,and designing teaching evaluations.3.Sort out the content of STEM elements in the high school physics textbook of the People’s Education Press(2019),and select some content to design as teaching cases.According to the design principles and process,the teaching designs of “Principles and Production of DC Motors” and “Music and Physics-Making an Instrument” were completed.The teaching practice of “Principles and Production of DC Motors” was carried out using school-based elective courses as the carrier.After the case study,the effectiveness of the practice was analyzed through the analysis of the student evaluation scale and interviews with teachers.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: firstly,the two teaching modes of “problem oriented” and “project oriented” are effective teaching modes for the integration of STEM education and high school physics teaching;Secondly,high school physics teaching based on the STEM concept has positive educational value. |
