| With the development of China’s economy and urban modernization,more and more rural labor force is involved in urban construction,which also leads to the emergence of a large number of rural left-behind children.Among this group of children,a more special group is the left-behind children from single-parent families caused by their parents’ divorce or death.Incomplete family structure and imbalance or lack of parent-child relationship make children face a lot of difficulties and problems.In the process of children’s growth,family education is a very key part,which is of great significance to the study of family education for left-behind children from single-parent families in rural areas,which not only has a far-reaching impact on promoting the comprehensive and healthy development of left-behind children,More related to the development of rural areas and the stability of the whole society.Taking Z Primary School in S Town as an example,this study uses questionnaires,interviews and other methods to understand the family education status of left-behind children in rural single-parent families in S Town,and analyzes the family education problems of single-parent left-behind children and their causes.It is found that the problems in family education of single-parent left-behind children mainly focus on the aspects of family education mode,communication,emotion and psychology,family education content and the connection between home and school,etc.However,these problems are caused by the low education level of guardians,the lack of emotion of left-behind children caused by single parents,the weak awareness of parental responsibility,and the lack of awareness and attention to family education.On this basis,from the perspective of social work,under the guidance of family system theory and advantage perspective theory,the method of casework is used to intervene in three typical family education cases of left-behind children from single-parent families,namely,authoritarian family education,indulgent family education and neglected family education.According to the needs and existing problems of the clients,individualized methods were used to intervene,and several case services were carried out respectively,aiming at improving the family education of the clients.By exploring the potential of the clients and enhancing self-confidence,the intervention had achieved certain results.Then,according to the evaluation after social work intervention,the paper summarizes and reflects on it.On the basis of this intervention,some suggestions are put forward to improve the family education of single-parent left-behind children from the aspects of parents,guardians,schools,society and social workers.This study believes that the intervention of social work in the family education of single-parent left-behind children in rural areas is feasible to a certain extent,and if a normal support mechanism can be formed,it will be very beneficial for children. |
