In recent years,China has entered an aging era due to the impact of reduced fertility and extended life expectancy. The issue of elderly care has become a focus of social attention. At present, the imbalance in economic development among different regions in China and the rapid advancement of urbanization have made the current situation of elderly care in rural areas more worrying compared to cities. The traditional elderly care methods are gradually being broken, and the needs for elderly care are no longer being met, which seriously hinders the pace of rural revitalization and the development of the country. In recent years, the issue of rural elderly care has attracted academic attention and attracted many scholars to study it.Many scholars have achieved fruitful results in the field of rural mutual assistance and elderly care, such as time banks and mutual assistance happy homes. However, there is still a lack of research on the willingness to participate in rural mutual assistance and elderly care. This article mainly takes the theory of empowerment and empowerment as the theoretical framework, and takes the elderly in Y village,Ulanhot City,Inner Mongolia as the survey object.Through questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview methods, relevant data is collected to empirically study the contradiction between the aging of rural permanent population and the elderly’s concept of elderly care.Based on this, the method of using group work to intervene in the improvement of mutual aid elderly care participation willingness is explored. This study found that elderly people in rural areas tend to rely on their hometown for elderly care under the influence of traditional concepts. And there is a phenomenon of cultural lag in rural areas, with most elderly people advocating the concept of "raising children to prevent aging".In addition, rural elderly people generally lack understanding of mutual assistance in elderly care, which leads to a low willingness to participate in mutual assistance in elderly care. Therefore, awakening the’collective memory’ of the elderly and cultivating their collective concept and cohesion have become the ’new driving force’ of mutual assistance elderly care services. It can guide the elderly to face their own elderly care needs, keep up with the trend of the times, enhance their mutual assistance awareness through the popularization of mutual assistance elderly care knowledge, unleash their potential and strengths, enhance their sense of self-worth,and thus enhance their willingness to participate in mutual assistance elderly care. This can alleviate the government’s financial pressure on elderly care, promote the professionalization and localization of elderly social work, and provide practical experience and useful reference for intervening in rural elderly mutual assistance elderly care.Promoting the long-term development of the rural mutual assistance elderly care model plays a role in promoting the country’s elderly care services. |
