The teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high school is an important part of Chinese reading teaching in senior high school.With the use of the textbooks compiled by departments and the promulgation and implementation of the new curriculum standards in recent years,the Chinese teachers in the front-line senior high schools have paid more and more attention to the exploration and practice of the teaching of ancient poetry reading.However,due to the influence of the college entrance examination baton for a long time,teachers have paid more attention to the students’ recitation of ancient poetry,and have not invested enough energy in the teaching of ancient poetry reading,and the lack of innovation in teaching methods,resulting in the teaching of ancient poetry reading in high school to a certain extent becoming a mere formality,and it is also difficult for teachers to change their ideas on the teaching of ancient poetry reading.In response to these problems,this paper attempts to use the relevant theories of reception aesthetics to explore and practice the teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high school.This paper briefly introduces the selection of ancient poetry in senior high school,grasps the current situation of ancient poetry reading teaching in senior high school through questionnaire survey,understands the problems and reasons in the teaching process of ancient poetry reading,and discusses the compatibility and necessity of the relevant theories of acceptance aesthetics and the teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high school.On this basis,combined with the teaching practice of ancient poetry reading in senior high school,the requirements of high school Chinese curriculum standards and the characteristics of senior high school students’ Chinese learning,under the guidance of the relevant theories of aesthetics,explore the relevant strategies of the teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high school,and puts forward the following:First,from the perspective of "reader-centered theory",students should be established as the main body in the teaching of ancient poetry reading,create an equal and relaxed learning atmosphere for students,and establish a multiple evaluation mechanism;Second,from the perspective of expectation theory,pay attention to students’ directional expectations and stimulate students’ enthusiasm for innovation;Third,starting from the theory of summoning structure,it emphasizes the use of the "blank" in ancient poetry to create a situation,and through careful reading of the text,the deeper connotation of poetry can be found.Under the guidance of this strategy,the paper finally takes the text "Climbing the High" as an example to design the teaching in order to put forward some new ideas for the teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high school.
