With the development of the society,the social demand for talents has changed,and the development of education has also changed accordingly.The requirements for mathematical modeling education in mathematics education are also constantly improving.However,many studies show that many schools of mathematical modeling teaching effect is still not ideal,although the high school mathematics textbooks and Beijing normal university edition(2019)high school mathematics textbooks are emphasized the cultivation of mathematical modeling ability,but the existing case study on mathematical modeling teaching methods,mathematical modeling teaching experience is not enough,the school of students mathematical modeling teaching is still not much improvement.Based on this teaching status,this study proposes a mathematical modeling teaching based on cooperative learning,aiming to provide new teaching ideas for mathematical modeling teaching methods.First of all,the test paper and questionnaire analysis method were used to test the mathematical modeling ability and cooperative learning ability of the students in three key classes and three parallel classes of a senior high school in a county seat in Ganzhou city.It can be seen from the test results:(1)the mathematical modeling ability of grade one students in this school is weak,especially the model assumption ability and the model composition ability are very unsatisfactory.The model testing ability is better than the previous two,but it still needs to be improved.(2)Students ’cooperative learning ability is ideal,but the specific topic analysis of the cooperative learning ability and cooperative learning questionnaire shows that students mainly have the following problems in cooperative learning: unable to accurately describe their own ideas and understand others’ ideas;unable to quickly determine tasks and find solutions.The correlation test of mathematical modeling ability and cooperative learning ability found the correlation between mathematical modeling ability and cooperative learning ability.Secondly,the design based on cooperative learning mathematical modeling teaching and implementation,in the front of six classes to choose an experimental class and a control class,combined with the test results using action research method for experimental class students based on cooperative learning mathematical modeling teaching intervention,control class is given priority to with traditional teaching method of conventional teaching.After a period of teaching intervention,the mathematical modeling ability and cooperative learning ability were tested in the experimental class and the control class again to verify the effectiveness of the mathematical modeling teaching based on cooperative learning.Finally,the results of the mathematical modeling ability and cooperative learning ability between the experimental class and the control class were compared,and the changes of the post-teaching results and pre-teaching results of the two classes were analyzed.In addition,the two classes with no significant difference in the pre-test mathematical modeling ability underwent an independent sample t-test again to observe the difference in the mathematical modeling ability of the two classes in the post-test,so as to verify the effectiveness of the mathematical modeling teaching based on cooperative learning on the improvement of students’ mathematical modeling ability.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)after the mathematical modeling teaching intervention based on cooperative learning,there is a significant difference in the class mathematical modeling ability of the two pre-tests,and the mathematical modeling ability of the students in the experimental class makes obvious progress,especially the model assumption ability and model composition ability.(2)Mathematical modeling teaching based on cooperative learning is helpful to the maintenance of students’ model testing ability and the improvement of mathematical modeling ability,model assumption ability and model composition ability.
