With the successful holding of various tennis events in China, the popularity of tennis is increasing day by day, which has aroused the attention and attention of the public and universities, promoted the development of tennis in China, and prompted more and more college students to choose tennis courses. As the basic tennis technology, forehand and backhand hitting technology is used in sports as high as80%.However,when beginners learn tennis, they often only pay attention to the training of tennis skills, but ignore the physical training,so that the physical quality is difficult to support the learning of tennis action, but also cause poor hitting quality, slow learning progress, and even the risk of sports injury. With the continuous development of sports disciplines,a variety of new tennis training concepts and methods emerge in an endless stream.Functional training,as one of the most popular vocational training concepts at present,is worth combining with tennis training for research and promotion.By using the method of literature research,Delphi method, mathematical statistics method and experiment method, this paper formulated the training plan and training content for the tennis students specialized in physical education, organically integrated functional training, traditional physical training and basic tennis skills training.Through the comparison experiment of forehand and backhand stroke stability of the two groups of students who adopted the traditional tennis training and functional training,This paper explores the influence of functional training on the stability of forehand and backhand stroke of tennis students majoring in physical education. In this study,22 students majoring in physical education in Liaoning Normal University who took tennis courses as the experimental objects,11 students in the experimental group and 11 students in the control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in basic physical quality and batting stability. In this study, the conventional tennis physical and technical training and functional training were applied to the control group and the experimental group respectively, and the stability index(hitting depth and accuracy)of the two groups was measured before and after the training.SPSS 26.0 was used for data analysis, and the data were all normally distributed. The results of paired sample T test and independent sample T test showed that: 1.There was no statistically significant difference in functional motor test scores between the experimental group and the control group before training(P<0.05);There were statistically significant differences in functional motor test scores between the experimental group and the control group before and after training(P<0.05);There were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in functional motor test scores before and after training(P<0.05),the functional action test score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. The application of functional training in tennis teaching has positive significance to prevent sports injuries and improve the stability of forehand and backhand stroke.2.There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the depth and accuracy test scores before training(P<0.05);There were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the depth and accuracy test scores before and after training(P<0.05);There were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the depth and accuracy test scores before and after training(P<0.05),the experimental group had better effect in improving the stability of college students’ tennis. The results show that the application of functional training in tennis teaching can effectively improve the stability of college students’ tennis.Conclusion:(1)Functional tennis training courses have a positive effect on the screening of functional movements of students specialized in tennis.(2)By comparing functional training tennis courses with conventional training tennis courses,it can be found that functional training courses significantly improve the tennis forehand and backhand hitting depth of students specialized in tennis.(3)Functional tennis courses are helpful to improve the stability of front and backhand strokes for students specialized in tennis. This also provides a certain reference value for adding functional training in tennis teaching in the future.
