Adolescence is a complex and critical life stage.It connects childhood and adulthood.In addition to the huge pressure of family,school and society,the psychological confusion and conflicts of junior high school students are growing,which has developed into a series of mental health problems.Parent-child affinity is an important indicator of individual family function.The family is the basic social unit of junior high school students.Families with a warm and harmonious mood can easily provide junior school students with a cozy harbor.What’s more,junior high school students may own a high level of self-compassion if they have an inseparable connection with their parents,while individuals with a high level of self-compassion have fewer mental health problems.The purpose of the study is to look at self-compassion dialectically.Through cross-sectional research and longitudinal follow-up research,it examines it examines the intermediary role of positive self-compassion and self-compassion between parent-child affinity and mental health of junior high school students and the causal relationship between the three.In addition,this study also took junior high school students as the object,designed a group counseling program around selfcompassion,and tested its effectiveness.Study 1: A questionnaire survey was used to test junior high school students in Jiangxi Province with the FACES CV-II、SCS、DASS-21 to test the mediating effect of positive and negative selfcompassion between parent-child affinity and mental health of junior high school students.The survey had collected 749 questionnaires after filtering useless letters.The results show that:(1)There are gender differences in positive self-compassion and mental health of junior high school students.There are school boarding differences in parent-child affinity,positive selfcompassion and mental health among junior high school students.There are grade differences in parent-child affinity and mental health among junior high school students.(2)In junior high student group,parent-child affinity,positive self-compassion,negative selfcompassion and mental health are significantly correlated.(3)Positive self-compassion and negative self-compassion have multiple intermediary effects between parent-child affinity and mental health.Study 2: A longitudinal follow-up survey was conducted,and the same questionnaire was distributed again to the junior high school students in study 1 at an interval of one year,to test the predictive relationship between the three variables of family intimacy and adaptability,selfcompassion and mental health,and to provide a reference basis for self-compassion intervention.A total of 224 valid questionnaires were collected this time.The results show that:(1)There is a predictive relationship between parent-child affinity and self-compassion,selfcompassion and mental health.(2)Parent-child affinity significantly predicted the mental health,but the mental health could not significantly predict the parent-child affinity of junior high school students.Study 3: Design a group counseling program with self-compassion as the theme,select the members of the experimental group and the control group,and compare the results of the pre-test and follow-up tests of the two groups after the intervention.The results show that:(1)After the group intervention carried out around self-compassion,the post-test and followup test results of the subjects in the experimental group confirmed that the scores of junior high school students in self-compassion,stress,anxiety and depression were lower than the pre-test,indicating that the group counseling intervention program had important influence on improving the level of self-compassion of junior high school students and reducing the mental health problems of junior high school students.To sum up,this study gives the following suggestions for improving the self-compassion level of junior high school students: at the personal level,junior high school students can improve their self-compassion ability by changing the way they treat themselves,trying to give themselves a hug and writing down their care for themselves;at the family level,parents can raise their children in person as much as possible,communicate effectively with family members and timely feedback and try to express their love with each family member to improve the level of parent-child affinity and self-compassion;at the school level,schools can improve the level of self-compassion of junior high school students through targeted mental health classes,giving play to the leadership role of class teachers and teaching parents the concept of family education.
