Parent-child conflicts are conflicts between parents and children in the process of getting along.These conflicts are caused by inconsistencies in eight aspects,including academics,daily life arrangements,and privacy.As a common phenomenon in daily life,parent-child conflict will inevitably bring developmental crisis to junior high school students.Behavioral problems that affect physical and mental health.Therefore,this study aims to understand the impact of parent-child conflict on the mental health of junior high school students and the mediating role of emotion regulation strategies.negative impact on the mental health of junior high school students.This research can provide theoretical guidance for middle school to carry out parent-child education,and provide practical help for junior high school students to improve parent-child relationship.This study consists of two parts.The first study was a study on the relationship between parent-child conflict,emotion regulation strategies and junior high school students’ mental health.1 090 junior high school students from 5 middle schools in the three cities were used as the research objects.And "Adolescent Daily Emotion Regulation Questionnaire" to investigate the mental health,parent-child conflict,and negative emotion regulation strategies of junior high school students.The second study was an intervention study on emotion regulation strategies for junior high school students.60 eighth-grade students were selected as the experimental objects,and they were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,with 30 students in each group.The experimental group was given group psychological counseling with the theme of emotion regulation.,and then pre-test and post-test on the negative emotion regulation strategies and mental health levels of the two groups of subjects,and conduct data analysis,and finally test the final intervention effect of group psychological counseling.The study came to the following conclusions:(1)There are significant differences in the mental health level of junior high school students in terms of gender and grade;there are significant differences in parent-child conflict in gender,grade,whether parents have bad habits,and father’s education level;there are significant differences in negative emotion regulation strategies in gender and grade.difference.(2)Parent-child conflict,mental health,and cognitive reappraisal strategies were significantly negatively correlated with junior high school students,and were significantly positively correlated with cognitive immersion,expression inhibition,and expression catharsis strategies.Parent-child conflict significantly positively predicted mental health.(3)Cognitive immersion,expressive inhibition and expressive catharsis play a partial mediating role between parent-child conflict and mental health.(4)After the group psychological counseling with the theme of emotion regulation,the psychological health level and negative emotion regulation strategies of the experimental group had significant differences before and after cognitive immersion,expression inhibition,and expression catharsis.The catharsis strategy was reduced,and the mental health level was improved;while the control group without group psychological counseling intervention had no significant difference before and after the test.
