As electronic devices rapidly pervade all parts of human existence as time and technology evolve,the operating system(OS),as a platform for conveying software information,serves as the foundation for the development of information systems.In recent years,raising importance has been attached to the application of information technologies in the field of education in our country where a series of related policies and systems were introduced.However,current educational software and simply-equipped educational application platforms fail to match the learning and recreational demands of the majority of educational users.It is critical to create an operating system that is compatible with China’s current educational landscape.And,the interaction between systems and the interface design also require meeting the demands of domestic education market as well as clients.The source of this thesis is the Kylin Tianqi Education OS,a customized OS jointly launched by Intel,HP,Tencent,and Kylinsoft for K-12 education scenarios on the specified notebook computers for the education industry,which was developed by the terminal R&D department of Kylinsoft,a subsidiary of CEC(China Electronics Corporation).The author has engaged in the whole support project for this operating system with the design team as a designer,and has worked together on this project with the product manager,the project manager,as well as the technology developer and tester.I was primarily in charge of the project’s requirement analysis,interaction design,and post-visual design.Then,according to the tests and the results of market examination,the updating of the interaction and visual interface could be achieved.Apropos of the results and innovations of this project,the user experience analysis based on K-12 education scenario manages to receive reasonable demands from users and obtain the derived interaction operation process,which,along with the research results and design principles combined,can produce the operating system interface design that meets expectations.Furthermore,a customized operating system architecture applicable to multi-terminal collaboration is developed to ensure the reliability and high efficiency for specific multi-user and multi-scene switching needs.Because of the permanent effects of electronic gadgets on the human body,the system has been tailored to include an eye-protection feature for users,as well as a parental supervision feature to ensure that the actual needs of users at all levels are addressed.Meanwhile,in the process of exploring a visual design style compatible with game-like learning methods,the feature of the thesis is established through design principles and the mood board.At last,the overall solution of operating system applicable to K-12 education scenario is proposed on the grounds that the interaction of the system and users as well as the influence on others and society is analyzed in depth in design principle of "human-centered",with an effort to make headway in customizing operating systems for users in education industry and education scenario.
