With the full popularization of compulsory education,it is important to implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education and the education concept of "health first",reverse the unscientific orientation of education evaluation,accelerate the modernization of education,build a strong education country,run a good education to the satisfaction of the people,and optimize the blueprint of school education.According to the new requirements for physical education learning assessment set out in the General Plan for Deepening Educational Assessment Reform in the New Era,the Compulsory Education Assessment Guidelines and the Physical Education and Health Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),a study was conducted to investigate the current situation of physical education learning assessment in schools around the world.This paper uses literature,expert interviews,questionnaires and mathematical statistics to randomly select 30 physical education teachers and 400 students from six junior high schools in the urban area of Xinxiang City to investigate the current situation of physical education learning assessment,analyze the problems and causes of physical education learning assessment in junior high schools in the urban area of Xinxiang City and put forward reasonable countermeasures to provide reference for further implementation of physical education learning assessment in junior high schools in the urban area of Xinxiang City.Conclusions of the study: 1.The purpose of assessment for physical education learning is not clearly understood;some physical education teachers are aware of the importance of assessment for physical education learning,but do not understand it well enough.2.The choice of physical education learning assessment content is not comprehensive enough,although the trend is diversified,there is less choice for health behavior and physical character and the use in practical situations.3.The choice of physical education learning assessment method is single,showing the trend of comprehensive assessment.4.The main body of physical education learning assessment lacks multidimensionality,mainly based on physical education teachers’ assessment,and the participation of the main body of student assessment needs to be further strengthened.5.The feedback of PE learning assessment results is not scientific enough,the presentation of PE learning assessment results is too homogeneous,and some PE teachers cannot communicate with students for feedback in a timely manner.The study recommends that: 1.the responsibility of education departments and schools at all levels for the implementation of physical education learning assessment should be strengthened,and efforts should be made to build a system of supervision,management and protection,and to provide channels for physical education teachers to further their training.2.the assessment literacy of physical education teachers should be improved,and physical education teachers should actively study the assessment ideas and methods of the Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)to improve their own assessment literacy level.3.the understanding of the objectives of physical education learning assessment should be further improved.The aim is to further improve the understanding of the objectives of assessment of physical education learning,to adhere to the concept of "health first" in education,to implement the fundamental requirement of establishing moral education,to grasp the new concept of assessment objectives,and to better promote the implementation of assessment of physical education learning.4.To further expand the area of investigation of assessment of physical education learning and to conduct fieldwork.
