The essence and life of human beings are created by labor, and the basic driving force for the active operation of human society is also labor. No matter which country or ethnic group, the role of labor cannot be ignored. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization, and the desire for high-quality labor talents with both ability and integrity is more intense than ever before.College students,as the backbone of the country’s social construction, have a correct outlook on labor.which is the subjective prerequisite for their active participation in production and labor practice, and for building socialist modernization.Research shows that the overall outlook on labor among college students is showing a positive and positive trend, but at the same time, some college students still have negative attitudes towards labor, need to improve their identification with labor, and insufficient cultivation of labor spirit.Strengthening the education of college students’ labor concept from the four levels of universities, families, society, and students is an inevitable requirement for talent cultivation in the new era. This article conducts research from four parts:The first part is an introduction.Based on the background and significance of the research topic on the education of college students’labor concept, this paper sorts out and summarizes the current research status at home and abroad by organizing and analyzing existing literature, and clarifies the research ideas and methods. The second part is an overview of the education of labor concept among college students in the new era.On the basis of reviewing existing literature and combining with the new era background, this paper summarizes and defines relevant concepts such as labor, labor concept, and labor concept education. And elaborated on the content of labor concept education for college students in the new era,and also delved into the theoretical basis and ideological sources of the topic selection, providing basic theoretical support for the design of subsequent survey questionnaires and problem-solving approaches. The third part is about the current situation and problems of the labor concept among college students in the new era.Objectively present the current status of college students’ labor concept in the form of a survey questionnaire, and summarize the positive manifestations and typical problems reflected in it.The overall performance of college students in the new era towards labor is improving, with good acceptance of labor culture, healthy and positive labor attitudes, good labor ethics, and daily labor habits. But there are also some college students who have negative labor attitudes, need to improve their labor identity, and lack the cultivation of labor spirit.Adhering to the principle of problem-oriented education,we establish the three main educational subjects of school, family, and society,as well as the education object of college students.Through analysis,we believe that the main reasons for the existence of problems in some students’ labor concepts are insufficient depth in school labor concept education, biased family labor concept education, weak support for social labor concept education, and weak individual subject consciousness and self-education ability of college students. The fourth part is about the path of labor concept education for college students in the new era.Based on the research analysis in Chapter 3,feasible strategies for optimizing labor education for college students are provided from four levels:universities, families, society, and students,in order to form a joint effort to double the educational effectiveness of labor education.
