Prosocial behavior refers to all behaviors made by an individual that benefit others, the collective or the society. It is an important part of building a civilized and harmonious society, and is also a compulsory course for young students. The development of prosocial behavior is influenced by both individual and environmental factors.Previous studies have found that justice sensitivity,as an independent and stable personality trait,is closely related to individual prosocial behavior, but its internal mechanism remains to be further explored. For high school students, their moral-related traits are in a period of rapid development and formation.Studies have shown that moral disengagement and moral identity are important predictors of prosocial behavior.Based on previous studies, this study explores the influence of justice sensitivity on high school students’ prosocial behavior and its specific mechanism, and explores the mediating role of moral disengagement and the moderating role of moral identity. In this study, high school students were selected as subjects, and Prosocial Tendencies Measure,Justice Sensitivity Scale,Moral Disengagement Scale and Moral Identity Measure were adopted to conduct the investigation.Finally,474 valid questionnaires were collected.Among the findings:(1)The moral identity and prosocial behavior of high school students are in the upper middle level, and the level of moral disengagement is low.Among the four dimensions of justice sensitivity, the perpetrator sensitivity score is the highest, followed by the beneficiary sensitivity and victim sensitivity, and the observer sensitivity score is the lowest.(2)The perpetrator sensitivity, the beneficiary sensitivity and the observer sensitivity is positively correlated with prosocial behavior, which can significantly predict the prosocial behavior of high school students.(3)The perpetrator sensitivity is significantly negatively correlated with moral disengagement, while the victim sensitivity is significantly positively correlated with moral disengagement.(4)Moral disengagement plays a mediating role between the perpetrator sensitivity and the prosocial behavior of high school students.(5)The mediating effect of perpetrator sensitivity on high school students’ prosocial behavior through moral disengagement is moderated by moral identity.Specifically, compared with low moral identity, high school students’ prosocial behavior will increase significantly with the decrease of moral disengagement level under the condition of high moral identity. In conclusion, this study shows that there is a close relationship between moral-related traits and prosocial behavior of high school students.Perpetrator sensitivity not only directly affects prosocial behavior, but also indirectly influences prosocial behavior through moral disengagement and moral identity. Therefore, enhancing the sensitivity of perpetrators, adjusting the level of moral disengagement and improving moral identity are important ways to promote the prosocial behavior of high school students.
