In recent years,"cultivating people for virtue" is the main theme and fundamental task of the education.From the perspective of cultural education,infiltrating the history of mathematics into teaching activities is also a hot topic.However,the strategies of integrating the history of mathematics into the teaching of primary school measurement units lacks further exploration.So how to obtain and deal with the historical materials of measurement units,how to effectively and properly integrate the history of mathematics into the teaching of primary school measurement units to give full play to the educational value of the history of mathematics need more attention and discussions.This study will investigate the current situation of integrating the history of mathematics into the teaching of units of measurement in primary schools by combining the arrangement features of mathematical historical materials related to units of measurement in the primary school mathematics textbooks of Suzhou Education Edition and the teaching requirements of corresponding curriculum standards.Based on this,the causes of problems in teaching practice are analyze,aiming at providing references for the scientific implementation of integrating the history of mathematics into the teaching of units of measurement in primary schools.The main body of this study consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction.This part will review the existing literature and research of the integrated history of mathematics into mathematics teaching,summarize the shortcomings of research,determine the topic selection,clarify the purpose and significance of the research,and clarify the research ideas and methods.The second part is the basic overview of the history of mathematics into the teaching of metrology units in primary schools.Firstly,the study will illustrate the definition of the unit of measurement based on the history of mathematics.Secondly,the theoretical basis and necessity of the history of mathematics will be clarified.Finally,the characteristics of the history of teaching materials,which provides the basis for the subsequent investigation,will be explained.The third part is the investigation and analysis of the history of mathematics into primary school metrology units.In this study,questionnaire survey and interview were conducted for mathematics teachers in F primary school.By collecting and analyzing the data,the teaching situation and problems of mathematics history integrating into the teaching are summarized from three perspectives: teachers’ cognitive attitude,their knowledge and their practical application.The fourth part is the reason for the problems of integrating mathematics history into the teaching of primary school measurement units.The reasons are analyzed from the perspectives of teachers’ poor professional concept,insufficient professional knowledge reserve,insufficient professional design ability and insufficient external support conditions.The fifth part is the strategies for integrating mathematics history into the teaching of primary school measurement units.It mainly includes improving teachers’ teaching concept of educating people by history;enriching the knowledge reserve of mathematics history;Improve teachers’ teaching ability;and increasing the external support conditions.
