As an important literary genre,the novel is an important content of Chinese teaching.Currently,the number of novel articles in the unified textbook is also increasing.In recent years,the state emphasizes the simultaneous development of five education and attaches importance to aesthetic education.One of the core qualities proposed by the Chinese curriculum standard is aesthetic appreciation and creation.Narratology,as one of the theories most closely related to novels,has important application value in the teaching and learning of novels.Although this theory has been applied in daily teaching,in the current situation that novel teaching is too utilitarian,no matter teachers or students,their understanding of it is mostly only at the superficial level and not fully mastered,and even there will be deviation.Based on the narratology theory,this paper investigates the current situation of Chinese fiction teaching in senior high school.On this basis,it puts forward some constructive strategies for the combination of narratology theory and fiction teaching and makes case analysis.The thesis is divided into six parts.The introduction part summarizes the background,purpose and significance of the research,and summarizes the relevant research results of narratology theory.The second part expounds the four concepts of narratology theory--narrator,narrative perspective,narrative time and narrative rhythm,and discusses the necessity of the application of narratology in high school Chinese novel teaching from the perspectives of teachers and students respectively.The third part analyzes the narrative content of the novel from four aspects: text selection,reading aid system,knowledge system and practice system.The fourth part sets up a questionnaire to make an in-depth investigation of the current situation of teachers and students in novel teaching.The fifth part explores strategy,and puts forward corresponding teaching strategies from the perspective of narrative,time,rhythm and narrator.The sixth part of the teaching cases,the novel teaching strategy based on narratology theory is applied to the teaching of "Lily" and "Lin Jiaotou snow Mountain Temple" two texts.
