Research On The Impact Of Enterprise Digital Level On Enterprise Performance

At present,the innovation driven model with digital technology as the core content has received extensive attention from the society and injected vitality into the development of traditional industries.Accelerating digital development and promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy is an important starting point to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.The emerging digital technology represented by mobile Internet has had a transformative impact on the management mode of micro enterprises,and more and more traditional enterprises begin to carry out digital transformation.The application of new digital technology enriches the traditional business forms and brings opportunities for the development of retail enterprises.Traditional enterprises have moved towards the road of digital transformation.Taking domestic retail enterprises as an example,this thesis explores the impact of enterprise digital level on enterprise performance.Using the relevant index data of A-share retail enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2016 to 2020,the digital level of enterprises is measured by using keywords represented by emerging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence,cloud computing and big data.At the same time,a performance evaluation index system is constructed based on DEA Malmquist model to measure enterprise performance.On the basis of the two,this paper constructs a panel regression model to explore the impact of the digital level of retail enterprises on their performance,and carries out heterogeneity analysis and marginal effect test.At the same time,considering the nonlinear impact mechanism of the digital level of enterprises on their performance,this paper further constructs a threshold regression model to explore the impact of different degrees of digital level on the operating efficiency of enterprises.The study found that: on the whole,the digital level of retail enterprises has a certain role in promoting enterprise performance;Through the analysis of heterogeneity,from the nature of property rights,the digital level of non-state-owned enterprises plays a significant role in improving enterprise performance.From the perspective of enterprise scale,the digital level of large-scale enterprises can better promote the improvement of enterprise performance;The threshold regression model shows that the low level of digitization will not promote the improvement of enterprise performance,or even reduce its operation efficiency.With the improvement of digitization level,its effect on enterprise performance is more significant.The policy implications of this thesis are as follows: first,deeply promote the independent innovation of enterprises,improve their core competitiveness,strengthen the training and construction of technical personnel,establish a long-term capital guarantee development strategy,and strengthen the guidance and promotion role of the government;Second,increase investment in digital technology,accelerate the penetration of emerging digital technology,and promote the process of enterprise digital transformation;Third,according to the actual situation of retail enterprises,promote the digitization of enterprises,promote the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises in their industrial chain with the help of digital technology,and accelerate the integration of online and offline retail.
