In 2016,the Opinions on Promoting Research and Study Trips in Primary and Secondary Schools issued by 11 departments,including the Ministry of Education,made it clear that research and study trips became an important element of education and teaching,and were formally incorporated into primary and secondary school education programs.Geography core literacy is an important element emphasized in the general high school geography curriculum standards and the new curriculum reform.The method of cultivating the geographic practicality among the four geographic core literacies is also an important topic of research in the education sector.Study Tour of Geography is an important path to realize the cultivation of students’ geography practical ability.The study tour allows students to establish natural connections in the collision between geography knowledge and real environment,and to promote the development of students’ geography practical ability through self-knowledge,self-construction and self-development in practice accumulation.Therefore,on the basis of previous research,this paper combines geographic practice with research trips and carries out the design of a high school geography research trip curriculum based on geographic practice cultivation.In order to have data and information to support the design of the study tour curriculum based on geography practice development,this paper,based on Tao Xingchi’s theory of life education,naturalistic education theory and constructivism theory,firstly,conducts a questionnaire survey on front-line geography teachers and students in three high schools in Henan,including teachers’ attitudes and suggestions on the development of study tours,students’ preferences for study tours,and so on,The questionnaires included teachers’ attitudes and suggestions on the development of study tours,students’ preferences for study tours,and so on.It was found that there are still problems such as teachers’ lack of attention to the cultivation of students’ geography practice,students’ level of geography practice needs to be improved,and the cultivation of geography practice in study tours needs to be improved.Based on the current problems in the cultivation of students’ geographic practice and the development of study tours,this study optimizes the design of study tours based on the general requirements for the design of study tour programs,from the determination of study themes,the design of study course objectives,the design of study contents,the selection of locations and routes,the determination of organization and activity methods,and the design of study evaluation.We also selected Longtan Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Xin’an County,Luoyang City as a case study site to design a perfect high school geography study tour curriculum program,aiming to promote the cultivation of students’ geography practice,enrich geography teaching,and provide reference for the design of study tour activities. |
