Objectives: Under the reality that students ’physical health level is declining,it is of great practical significance to choose sports that can not only comprehensively improve children’s physical fitness, but also have a low risk of sports injury.Swimming practice,as a kind of water sports integrating entertainment and fitness, has been favored by people in recent years, and is a better choice suitable for children to exercise and improve their physical fitness level. Methods: The paper method, the experimental method and the mathematical statistics method were used to discuss the influence of swimming on the healthy fitness of 9-12 children.Taking 40 children aged 9-12(20 male and female)in Yueyang city as the experimental subjects,40 children were divided into control group and experimental group by Z-word group method. The control group only performed daily activities, while the experimental group conducted swimming training as planned. After 5 months(20 weeks)of swimming training intervention, the changes in aerobic fitness, muscle fitness, flexible fitness and body composition in the control group, within and between the experimental group were analyzed and compared,so as to explore the impact of swimming training on physical fitness in children and adolescents.Results:(1)Comparison of each index group between experimental and control groupsAerobic fitness: After 20 weeks of swimming training, the maximum vital capacity and step index of both men and girls in the experimental group increased significantly, and the data were significantly different(p <0.05).The maximum lung capacity and step index increased in the control boys, but there was no significant difference in the data(p> 0.05),and in the control girls, and significantly(p <0.05).Muscle fitness: After 20 weeks of swimming training, the muscle fitness indexes of both men and girls in the experimental group were improved, the grip strength of men and girls in the experimental group was significantly improved, and the front and after data were very significantly different(p <0.01).Male and female standing long jump and sit-ups showed a significant difference(p <0.01).In men and girls, the growth in grip strength, standing long jump and sit-up were not statistically significant(p> 0.05).Flexible ability: after 20 weeks of swimming training, the experimental group data was very significantly different(p <0.01),the experimental group boys improved significantly, and the data were significantly different(p <0.05).The partially increased, but the increase was not statistically significant(p> 0.05).Body composition: After 20 weeks of swimming training, some body composition indexes were partially optimized. The body mass index, fat weight and muscle weight of the boys in the experimental group all decreased significantly, and the data were very significantly different(p <0.01).The body mass index and muscle weight of the experimental group also decreased significantly(p <0.01),while the fat weight decreased in the girls, but not statistically significant(p> 0.05).There was no significant change in body mass index,no statistical difference(p> 0.05),significantly decreased fat weight, significant difference(p<0.01),no significant change in control girls,no statistical difference(p> 0.05),significant decrease in control boys, significant differences(p <0.01),and significant difference(p<0.05).(2)Comparison between each index group in the experimental group and the control group.Aerobic fitness: after the intervention, the maximum vital capacity and step index of men and girls were more significantly improved than those in the control group, and showed very significant differences(p <0.01).Muscle fitness: After the intervention, the standing long jump scores of men and girls in the experimental group were higher than those of men and girls in the control group, which had a significant difference(p <0.05).The grip strength and sit-ups of men and girls in the experimental group were more significantly improved compared with the control group, with a very significant difference(p <0.01).Flexible and flexibility: after the intervention, the experimental group increased significantly compared with the control group(p <0.05).Boys in the experimental group did not change significantly compared with the control group(p> 0.05).Body composition: after intervention group boys body mass index and fat weight compared with the control group, with significant difference(p <0.05),the experimental group in the body mass index and fat weight and the control group(p> 0.05),the male and female muscle weight significantly higher than the control men and girls,a very significant difference(p <0.01).Conclusions: After 20 weeks of intervention, the maximum vital capacity and step index of the swimming training group were significantly better than that of the daily activity group, indicating that the swimming training effectively improved the aerobic fitness and well promoted the cardiopulmonary function of children. In addition, the grip strength, standing long jump and sit-up performance in the swimming training group are generally better than that in the daily activity group, indicating that the swimming training has effectively improved the muscle fitness of children. For sitting forward flexion, only the girls’ swimming training group was significantly better than the daily activity group, indicating that the increase of flexibility quality brought by swimming is linked to gender, and the flexibility improvement of girls is greater than that of boys.Boys in the swimming training group have improved their body mass index, fat weight and muscle weight more significantly than those in the daily activity group, while girls can only gain muscle weight growth from swimming training, indicating that planned swimming training can help boys aged 9-12 burn excess fat and reduce the obesity rate.
