The new curriculum standards for ideology and politics in ordinary high schools require core literacy-oriented curriculum to construct activity-oriented subject courses that combine subject logic with practical logic,theoretical knowledge and life concerns.The new curriculum standard emphasizes the need to focus on students’ real life and longterm development to construct teaching situations,so that students can consciously practice theory in social practice activities,cultivate students’ comprehensive practical ability,social participation ability,and activity inquiry ability,and achieve the development of students’ core literacy.The concept of STEAM is an educational concept that allows students to solve practical problems based on multidisciplinary knowledge in the situation,so as to cultivate students’ interdisciplinary knowledge application ability,innovation ability and comprehensive practical ability.The high school current affairs theme classroom is an activity-oriented classroom with current affairs and politics as the theme,real situation as the carrier,and interdisciplinary and curriculum integration as the premise,which has the characteristics of comprehensive,situational and interesting teaching content,and practical,exploratory and generative nature of curriculum implementation,so as to cultivate students’ inquiry ability,practical ability and core literacy.Comparing the core literacy,STEAM concept and current affairs theme courses,it is found that the three are highly compatible,and the classroom teaching of current politics in high schools under the STEAM concept provides an effective way to cultivate students’ core literacy,innovation awareness,application of multidisciplinary knowledge ability and practical ability.Exploring the integration of STEAM concept with high school current affairs theme classrooms,and teaching design and application is the core content of this study.This study is discussed in four parts.(1)Starting from the conceptual analysis,the literature analysis method is used to sort out the current research status at home and abroad,the concept definition of STEAM concept and current affairs theme classroom,and the relevant theoretical basis is supplemented.(2)According to the characteristics of the STEAM concept,the teaching design of high school current affairs theme courses under the STEAM concept is carried out,mainly including teaching goal design,teaching process design and teaching evaluation design.(3)Expound the principles of teaching case design under the guidance of this concept,and select the lesson "Realizing the Chinese Dream of the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation" for the case design of current affairs theme courses according to the teaching design principles and process framework.(4)Put the classroom teaching cases of current affairs topics under the STEAM concept into practice,use the questionnaire survey method and interview method to analyze the implementation effect of the case,and compare the differences between students’ learning interest,learning attitude and method,inquiry ability and practical ability before and after implementation.The teaching of current politics in high school based on the concept of STEAM has built a new platform for high school students’ current politics education and practical ability cultivation,through the creation of problem situations and interdisciplinarity,the application of knowledge and teaching activities around current political themes can effectively cultivate students’ core literacy,practical ability and comprehensive quality,this paper provides front-line political teachers with cases and experiences in teaching practice and application of current political topics. |
