In recent years, the social work industry has achieved significant development, and social workers are increasingly playing an important role in various fields. However,at the same time, there are many challenges in the development of social work, and the issue of job burnout is one of the factors that affect social workers’ better service delivery. This study uses quantitative research methods, guided by social capital theory, and uses data from the China Social Work Longitudinal Study(CSWLS2019)to analyze the impact of social capital on job burnout of social workers. This study utilizes the theoretical paradigm of social capital to operationalize it into two types:family based social capital and work based social capital.Firstly, this article uses descriptive statistics to conduct a descriptive analysis of job burnout to understand the objective situation of social workers’ job burnout: the problem of job burnout of social workers objectively exists, and there are differences in the objective degree of the three dimensions of job burnout;Secondly, using multiple regression analysis,we empirically tested the relationship between social capital and social worker burnout(emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and low personal achievement): Firstly, social capital negatively affects social worker burnout, and those with high levels of social capital are more likely to reduce job burnout;Secondly, social capital has different impacts on various dimensions of job burnout of social workers. Finally, this article discusses the reasons for the negative impact of job burnout among social workers, and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the government and academic research levels; This paper analyzes on the reasons why social capital has a significant impact on job burnout of social workers, and proposes countermeasures to reduce the occurrence of job burnout among social workers at the institutional level.
