In order to better implement the national fitness strategy and promote the construction of a healthy China,the state attaches great importance to the development of youth physical fitness level and has made efforts to develop the development channels for retired athletes to transform into physical education teachers.The smooth development of retired athletes transforming into physical education teachers is one of the key strategies to vigorously promote the construction of healthy China and fundamentally solve the physical health level of youth.With the strong support of the policy retired athletes are rapidly pouring into schools in large numbers,and at the same time diverse problems are gradually surfacing,it is significant to explore the influencing factors of retired athletes transition to physical education teachers under the perspective of histories for the future transition development of retired athletes.To date,there has been a large body of literature exploring what factors influence the transition of retired athletes,but the key factors that influence their transition to become good physical education teachers are usually more than a single factor,and are often influenced by multiple factors acting in concert.The growth patterns of retired athletes from different backgrounds under different conditions are heterogeneous and exhibit different developmental trends,so this study chose a fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis to explore the multiple causal concurrent relationships of retired athletes transitioning into physical education teachers.An attempt was made to address: what factors may influence the development of the matter of retired athletes transitioning to physical education teachers? Which influencing factors play a more important role? Is the success of retired athletes transitioning to physical education teachers a result of multiple conditional influences acting together? What conditional groupings of influencing factors are in place to work together in the development of retired athletes as a group transitioning to physical education teachers? How do the single factors function in the grouping?Combining domestic and international literature on the influencing factors of retired athletes transforming into physical education teachers and the characteristics of our social system and retired athletes,seven influencing factors of social relationships,family support,self-efficacy,personality characteristics,cultural and educational status,athletic rank,and injury and health status were extracted as antecedent condition variables.After establishing a theoretical model for a reasonable research design,data were collected and analyzed,and fs QCA was applied to explore how these factors depend on each other to form a histotype and act on the transition of retired athletes to physical education teachers in order to derive the corresponding transition path.Based on role transition theory,transition theory,and change model,this study uses 144 retired athletes transitioning to physical education teachers in Tianjin as a case sample from the perspective of histotypes,and uses fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fs QCA),literature,questionnaires,and mathematical statistics to explore the effects of social capital,psychological capital,and human capital on the degree of professional identity of retired athletes transitioning to physical education teachers after The study explored the driving effects of social capital,psychological capital,and human capital on the degree of professional identity of retired athletes after transition to physical education teachers and the multiple models of their transition path.The design of the questionnaire was completed based on well-known domestic and international general scales combined with the actual situation of retired athletes,and the case data required for the empirical process of fs QCA were obtained.The synergistic effects between the pathways and outcome variables were explained,and the pathways of the influencing factors of retired athletes transitioning to physical education teachers were summarized and analyzed.The results of the study showed that social capital,psychological capital,and human capital factors could not promote the development of their transformation alone,and the synergistic linkage of the three types of factors generated five pathways of influencing factors for smooth transformation of physical education teachers,which were summarized into three types in this study: "talent-driven," "traditional advantage type," and "skill-driven".This study summarizes them into three types: "talent-driven","traditional strengths",and "skill-driven".Based on the above analysis,this paper draws the following main conclusions:(1)Talent-driven histotypes in the path of education and culture.When the cultural education of athletes is very good,regardless of whether the retired athletes have very good athletic performance,as long as the family is sufficiently supportive(marginal condition),the teacher’s self-efficacy is high(core condition),and the cultural education is high(core condition),the combination of these factors will further promote the good development of the retired athletes’ transition physical education teacher transition under the influence of these factors.Another strong resource type,in the case of athletes with very high social network and extremely high family support,can smoothly transform into physical education teachers even if they do not have good athletic performance.(2)Traditional strengths type when the overall quality of the athlete is more balanced,no maximum shortcomings and no overpowering strengths,as long as the teacher has a relatively high sense of self-efficacy,it can effectively contribute to the outcome variable.(3)The skillful and competent type mainly takes the athletic performance in the human capital dimension as the dominant factor.Retired athletes who conform to this pathway of transformation do not pay enough attention to social capital and psychological capital,but use very good athletic performance to form the key developmental element of a very high level of athleticism,which further promotes their transformation.It is concluded that(1)social capital is an important condition to promote the transformation of retired athletes into physical education teachers(2)psychological capital is a long-term internal drive for the transformation of retired athletes into physical education teachers(3)human capital is an essential element for the sustainable development of retired athletes into physical education teachers.On this basis,the following countermeasures are proposed:(1)optimize the human capital structure of athletes and improve the professionalism of retired athletes(2)improve the utilization and development of social resources and promote the accumulation of athletes’ social capital(3)strengthen the construction of athletes’ psychological capital and give play to good subjective motivation(4)improve the guarantee mechanism of retired athletes to meet the needs of high-quality development(5)make use of their own conditional talents and explore(6)Coordinate all-round linkage and bring into play the synergistic effect of multiple parties(7)Strengthen the implementation of policies on the ground to provide a solid backing for the transformation of retired athletes.
