Teachers are the key to the development and expansion of preschool education.As a part of the kindergarten teacher team,the professional development level of male kindergarten teachers is not only related to their own ability and the quality of all teachers,but also important for guiding more male teachers to actively participate in preschool education and promoting the comprehensive and healthy development of children in the future.However,at present,there are few researches focusing on the professional development of male kindergarten teachers,and the demand for professional development is even less.Therefore,it is of great positive significance to carry out educational research from the perspective of the needs of teachers’ professional development to promote the professional development of male preschool teachers.At the same time,existing studies mostly use the method of large-sample data collection to study the professional development needs of teachers,and less use qualitative research methods.This study mainly uses the case analysis method to provide a new research perspective for the study of teachers’ professional development needs.This study takes a "typical" male kindergarten teacher in Lhasa,and uses interviews,observations and physical analysis to reveal the internal professional literacy needs and external professional help and support needs arising from his professional development,as well as the satisfaction of the professional development needs of case teachers,and analyzes the problems and causes of the professional development needs of case teachers,and puts forward suggestions to ensure the professional development needs of male kindergarten teachers on this basis.In order to contribute a small contribution to the professional development of male kindergarten teachers in LhasaThe survey results show that teacher W have diversified development needs in academic ideals,knowledge,academic ability,material resources,etc.,but their internal discipline and professional quality needs have been met to a certain extent,while external professional assistance and support needs to be met to a certain extent.But at the same time,teachers W also face the following problems in their professional development needs: First,they do not fully understand their internal discipline and professional quality requirements,such as ignoring the continuous updating and mastering of natural science knowledge and sociological knowledge,ignoring the creation and application of the psychological environment,and the urgent need to cultivate their ability to motivate and judge;Second,the conformity between external professional assistance and support and the professional development needs of teacher W needs to be improved,such as the lack of excellent tutors,the lack of free time for teachers,and the urgent need to improve the level of hardware equipment in the kindergarten.In view of the existing problems,the authors found that the main reasons were the level of teachers’ professional development,the financial investment of local government departments and the low level of teachers’ overall academic qualifications after data analysis.Finally,based on the analysis of the problems and causes,the corresponding suggestions on improving the professional knowledge quality of teachers and improving the level of teachers’ foreign professional assistance and security measures are given to ensure the professional development needs of male preschool teachers.
