The study of the teachers’ professional development is the current hot topics in the field of education both at home and abroad. As professional personnel, the teacher should upgrade the professional quality and realize his self professional development. It’s a basic requirement to quicken the course of the teachers’professional development in China. It’s also an important measure to achieve the new curriculum reform. The paper is based on the analysis of the literature data. It has a theoretical analysis for teachers’professional development. It mainly discusses the profession, professional and define the teacher’s professional development, Content and structure, the professional development of geography teachers, and to reflect on the teachers professional development and so on. On this basis, the paper architecture the geography teachers’professional structure, and analyzes the requirement for high school geography teachers’professional development, such as the professional knowledge and professional ability.Practice part of this paper is mainly aimed at the high school geography teachers in Lhasa,and use the investigation method, interview method to survey the middle school geography teachers in Lhasa. Learning the knowledge background, cultural level and teaching ability of the middle school geography teachers in Lhasa, and combing with the modern education method, this paper analyzes the geography teachers’ professional development status. Based on the theory of modern education both at home and abroad, and combined with the objective reality, this paper put forward the countermeasures to promote the middle school geography teachers’ professional development, and some feasible Suggestions for the sustainable development of the middle school geography teachers and geography education development in Lhasa. |
