Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy Development On Employment Skill Structure

In recent years,the digital economy has developed rapidly.Its radiation scope has expanded and its influence has deepened,and the Party and the state have paid more and more attention to it.With the development of digital economy,China’s employment skill structure has undergone a series of changes.Therefore,it is necessary to explore how the digital economy affects the structure of employment skills,and put forward corresponding policies and measures to protect people’s well-being and promote the harmonious development of society.Based on the summary of relevant literature at home and abroad,this paper defines the concept of digital economy development and employment skills structure.Next,this paper puts forward the measurement methods of digital economy and employment skill structure.The comprehensive index of digital economy is calculated by entropy method and the employment skill structure is divided according to the wage level.And on the basis of data,we analyze the current situation of the digital economy and employment skills structure.Based on the Marx’s science and technology productivity theory,Marx’s capital components theory and the development strategy of digital economy in the new era,this paper puts forward three intermediary mechanisms.And the basic conclusion is obtained,that is,the development of digital economy will promote the polarization of employment skills structure.In fact,these three mechanisms are an organic whole,which interact with each other and jointly affect the employment skill structure.This paper selects panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2020 for empirical research.The fixed effect model is used to analyze the impact of digital economy on the employment skill structure.And the heterogeneity analysis is adopted to examine the difference impact of digital economy on the employment skill structure in different regions.Then,the mediation effect model is used to test the correctness of the three mediation mechanisms.Finally,the robustness analysis is used to verify the reliability of the conclusion.Based on the theoretical analysis and research conclusions,this paper puts forward policy suggestions from three aspects.First,the government and enterprises should work together to make the digital economy stronger,better and bigger,and optimize the employment skills structure.Second,we should constantly optimize our higher education system,strengthen the cultivation of high-end talents,and focus on introducing high-skilled talents from overseas to increase the supply of high-skilled talents.Third,we should improve the living security system and employment security system for low and medium skilled labor force,and promote the harmonious development of society.
