In 2023,the Ministry of Education,Culture,Sports,Science and Technology(MEXT)issued its "Opinion Paper on Further Strengthening Ideological and Political Education in Elementary and Junior High Schools in the New Era," pointing out the need to make deep use of the ideological and political resources implied by language,history and other disciplines,accurately grasp the educational goals of each discipline,organically combine curriculum ideological and political education with various curriculum teaching,and implement the implementation of interdisciplinary comprehensive education.As an extremely important subject in primary school subjects,mathematics itself carries a certain educational function.However,compared with the disciplines of language,ethics and the rule of law,there are certain difficulties in comprehensive education.To this end,this paper investigates the current state of ideological and political education in primary mathematics courses and analyzes ideological and politically relevant texts in primary mathematics courses(Beijing 5th grade textbook normal edition and new edition of compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards),and conducts questionnaire surveys,interviews and classroom teaching observations of all primary school mathematics teachers in practice schools to understand the implementation status of ideological and political education in internship primary schools,including teachers’ cognitive attitudes towards curriculum ideology and politics,the implementation of curriculum ideology and politics in primary school mathematics teaching,The results of the survey were statistically analyzed,and it was found that primary school mathematics teachers had weak awareness of ideological and political design of curriculum,weak willingness,lack of curriculum resources and insufficient teaching design ability,and lack of school-related incentive system.Accordingly,measures and suggestions are put forward to enhance teachers’ ideological and political awareness of the curriculum,develop curriculum ideological and political resources,improve teachers’ relevant teaching design capabilities,improve and implement relevant school systems,so as to promote the construction of ideological and political education in primary mathematics courses. |
