Education is a kind of social activity to cultivate people in a purposeful and planned way.In order to help students grow up and realize real education,ordinary high schools must realize the importance of career education,focus on students’ career development,focus on students’ career planning,purposefully and systematically help and guide students to establish career awareness,establish career goals,and take the initiative to carry out career planning.Strive to link students’ past,present and future through advance understanding and planning,and build a bridge between "me now" and "me in the future".In this sense,career education should accompany a person’s whole life.High school is a crucial stage for career exploration and decision-making,and also a crucial period for the formation of students’ three views.High school schools should pay attention to the development of students’ career,pay attention to career education,and help teenagers to take off.At present,the study of career education is still in its infancy,and the research stages mainly focus on universities.In addition,China’s current concept of career education is too narrow,career education not only refers to career planning,the implementation of career education should not only focus on the university stage,many educators call for career education to be advanced to high school,middle school or even primary school,pointing out that it should be a gradual and continuous development process.I think it is very important to carry out career education in high school.The main structure of this study is as follows: introduction,which mainly includes the origin of the study,the significance of the study,the theoretical basis and the definition of the core concepts,and then comb out the domestic and foreign research summary on career education;Then,it describes the status quo of career education in ordinary high schools.By using the literature research method,combined with questionnaire survey and interview,it goes deep into the case school to understand the current awareness of career development of high school students and the implementation status quo of career education in high school.By analyzing the survey results,it is concluded that the prominent problem in the management of career education in the case school is the deep-rooted test-oriented education thought.The lack of career curriculum resources,the "quality" and "quantity" of career education teachers,the imperfect school management mechanism,the unimpeded home-school coordination mechanism,these reasons make the career education goal of ordinary high schools narrow,limited content,single way and unsatisfactory effect.Finally,in view of the problems existing in the implementation of career education in the case school,combined with the investigation and research,the proposed optimization strategy is given,that is,to establish the concept of people-oriented career education,so that students become the main body of career planning;Sunac career education curriculum system takes course teaching as the main focus of career education;Strengthen the construction of career education teachers,let teachers as the leading career education;Perfect the implementation system of career education,and take school as the main front of career education;To construct a pattern of career education with multiple participation,take home-school collaboration and social participation as the driving force of career education,so as to achieve the purpose of improving the implementation effect of career education and helping students’ development.
