The State Council issued the new college entrance examination reform plan in September 2014,and Hainan Province proposed the provincial college entrance examination reform plan in 2017.Abolishing the division of Arts and Sciences and implementing independent subject selection force the development of career education in senior high school.How to effectively carry out career education in senior high school has become a new topic of senior high school education.However,the research of high school career education in China started late,and there are many problems in the practice of high school career education.Based on the research literature at home and abroad,this paper clarifies the basic concept and connotation of high school career education.Taking Y middle school in Hainan Province as the survey sample,this paper investigates the current situation of senior high school career education by using the methods of questionnaire and interview.Based on the descriptive statistical analysis and the difference analysis of career education effect based on personal variables,combined with the interview results,it is found that the high school career education in the target school has the following problems: the educational content is lack of systematicness;The way of career education is relatively single and is lack of personalized guidance for students;The teaching staff of career education is relatively weak;Family background affects the effect of career education.At the same time,the reasons are discussed: the phased objectives of career education are not clear,career education lacks the support of social resources,career education is on the edge of school teaching,parents lack the awareness of participating in career education.Therefore,the following suggestions are put forward for the current high school career education: overall planning,refining the career education objectives,and systematizing the content of career education in the three years of high school;Expanding the form of career education based on practicality;Vigorously strengthening the construction of school career teachers,improving teachers’ professional quality of career education,and encouraging home school cooperation to promote the development of career education. |
