With the development of society,various industry positions require compound talents;Many companies not only test business ability when hiring,but also screen for physical fitness before entry.But in recent years,the physical quality of college students is declining year by year.Meanwhile,affected by the epidemic,the physical fitness of college students is even more worrying.In order to solve the problem of declining physical quality of college students,we should start from the most basic PE class.In order to improve the physical fitness of college students,this paper introduces the high-intensity interval training,which is more professional,short in time and quick in effect,into the compulsory physical education class.Explore the application effect of high intensity interval training in physical education class.After consulting relevant data,this paper interviewed relevant experts to improve the experimental design.The students of Grade 21 in Fuyang Normal University were selected as the experimental subjects,from which two classes with similar ratio of male to female were selected.After students’ informed consent,20 boys and 10 girls were selected in each of the two classes by random drawing(in the class).They were divided into a high-intensity interval training group and a traditional fitness exercise group.High intensity interval training was used in the physical fitness exercise of the experimental group,while traditional physical fitness training was used in the physical fitness exercise of the control group.The training duration of both groups was 30 minutes,with the experimental group exercising at an intensity of 90%HRmax and the control group exercising at an intensity of50%~70%HRmax.The experiment was conducted in PE class once a week for 12 weeks.Before and after the experiment,the cardiopulmonary capacity,speed,strength,endurance,flexibility,BMI and other relevant indicators of the two groups of students were tested.The difference significance test was used to compare the difference between the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment.The experimental results are as follows:(1)Before the experiment,there were no significant differences between the control group and the experimental group in heart rate,lung capacity,boys’ 1000m/girls’ 800 m,standing long jump,50 m,boys’ pull-up,girls’ one-minute sit-up,seated forward flexion and BMI index.(2)cardiorespiratory endurance after 12 weeks of intervention training.There was no significant difference in average heart rate between the experimental group and the control group.However,compared with the control group,the average score of vital capacity in the experimental group was significantly increased(2909.75±355.06 vs 2687.05±319.82 ml,P <0.05).The mean performance of female vital capacity in the experimental group was also significantly higher than that in the control group(2102.5±200.44 vs 1929.7±151.11 ml,P <0.05).Compared with the control group,the average score of the experimental group in1000 m was significantly increased(248.5±10.02 vs 256.7±11.42 s,P < 0.05),and the average score of the female group in 800 m was also significantly increased(229.4±10.12 vs240.7±11.21s).P < 0.05).(3)In terms of strength and quality,after the 12-week intervention training.Compared with the control group,the average score of the standing long jump in the experimental group was significantly increased(2.438±0.17 vs 2.315±0.19 m,P < 0.05),while that of the female group was significantly increased(1.973±0.20 vs 1.796±0.16,P < 0.05).The average score of male pull-ups in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(6.6±1.43 vs 4.85±1.81,P < 0.05).The average score of one-minute sit-ups in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(31.5±5.84 vs25.2±3.58,P < 0.05).(4)in terms of speed agility,flexibility,and BMI after the 12-week intervention.There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.(5)After 12 weeks of experiment,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the students in the experimental group.It was found that the students in the experimental group found their sleep quality and mental state were effectively improved,and 53.3% of them developed good exercise habits.The experimental conclusions are as follows:(1)High intensity interval training plays a more significant role in improving cardiopulmonary endurance than traditional classroom physical fitness training.(2)Compared with the traditional physical fitness training in the classroom,high-intensity interval training has a more significant effect on the strength training of male and female college students.(3)Compared with physical fitness exercise in traditional PE class,high-intensity interval training has the same effect on the speed agility,flexibility and BMI of college students.(4)After the experiment,the experimental group students can clearly feel the positive impact of high-intensity interval training on themselves;But only a few students think that high intensity interval training should be introduced into PE class.The analysis results in the following recommendations:(1)It is suggested that schools introduce high-intensity interval training in the physical fitness of students,increase the weekly training times,invite expert teachers to give professional technical guidance,and make innovations in practice.Develop a complete teaching system and support system.(2)High-intensity interval training for college students in physical education class has no effect on the agility,flexibility and BMI of students,and it is suggested to increase the training in this aspect.(3)Physical education teachers need to fully understand the exercise habits of different student groups when teaching high-intensity interval training.Combine high-intensity interval training with the sports that students are interested in,and arrange the classroom training content reasonably according to the physical quality level of students.
