With the advancement of globalization,China’s connection with the world has become increasingly close.To some degree,it is becoming more and more important to improve the humanistic literacy of Chinese citizens.High school history curriculum and teaching can contribute to raising students’ world awareness and widening international vision.The development of world history is diverse.So it is necessary to understand and respect the cultural traditions of all countries and nations in the world and to strengthen the teaching of national history as well.As a young nation,the United States has created an Americanstyle development model in its short development process of more than 200 years.There have been a series of development achievements,but there are also many problems,which have a huge impact on the course of world history.The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History,a compulsory history textbook published in the unified edition,has been used in batches across the country since 2019,with major changes in the section on American history.Textbooks are a fundamental resource for students to learn American history.To better adapt to the new round of reform of high school history curriculum,it is urgent to carry out a special study on the teaching of American history in the compulsory high school textbooks.This paper is divided into five parts: the first chapter introduces the research significance,research status,research ideas and innovation points of American history teaching in high schools;the second chapter integrates the teaching requirements and content framework of American history in high schools based on junior high school history curriculum standards and high school history curriculum standards;the third chapter sorts out the specific distribution of American history content in textbooks and studies the characteristics of the compilation of American history content;The fourth chapter,based on historical research results,expands the content related to American history from the aspects of politics,economy,society,foreign policy,Sino-American relations and so on to deepen the understanding of teaching content;On the basis of the research of the above chapters,Chapter 5 puts forward systematic teaching suggestions for American history teaching from the perspective of high school history teaching practice,including teaching ideas,content clues,learning activities,learning evaluation,etc;Chapter 6 concludes the full text and points out areas where the paper needs to be further developed. |
