A nation cannot flourish without morality,and a person cannot be established without morality."Moral education" is the fundamental task of education in the new era,and it is also the fundamental guideline for education and teaching practice.With the development of the times,society’s demand for talent training has also changed,and school education is no longer just about imparting subject knowledge to students,but has been transformed from a "knowledge-based" to a "literacy-based" approach,with more emphasis on the guidance of students’ values.All subjects are required to integrate moral education into the teaching process and give full play to the nurturing function of the subject.The current unified junior high school language textbooks take the establishment of moral education as the core concept in the preparation of the textbooks,and incorporate a variety of moral education elements into the content system of the textbooks,in an attempt to give full play to the inculcating and infecting effect of mother-tongue education on the ideological and moral character of young people,and to promote the formation of good character qualities among students.This thesis compares and analyses the moral education elements and their presentation in the selected texts of the unified junior high school language textbooks,and also understands their implementation in teaching through classroom observation.The text is divided into three main sections: Introduction,Body and Conclusion,with the main body section divided into five chapters.The first chapter constructs a framework for analyzing the moral education elements of middle school language textbooks.Firstly,the object of this paper,i.e.,the selected texts in the unified middle school language textbooks,is clarified.Second,based on the previous research results and three policy texts,namely,the Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),the Implementation Manual of the Guidelines for Moral Education in Primary and Secondary Schools,and the Outline for the Implementation of Civic Morality in the New Era,the final "Analysis Framework of Moral Education Elements in Selected Texts of Middle School Language Teaching Materials" is formed,which contains three dimensions and seventeen categories.The analysis framework contains three dimensions and seventeen categories.Chapter 2 grasps the presentation of moral education elements in the selected texts of junior high school language teaching materials,and counts and analyzes the moral education elements contained in the selected texts from three aspects: the frequency,content,and mode of presentation of moral education elements.Through the study,it was found that the content of moral education elements in the selected texts of the unified middle school language textbooks is both exemplary and contemporary,which not only promote the excellent traditions of Chinese culture,but also keep pace with the times and show the rich connotation of moral education.They are presented in a variety of ways,mainly characterization,storyline,writing and lyricism,discussion and reasoning,scientific and popular explanation,and positive and direct speech.Chapter 3 understands the implementation of moral education elements in the classrooms of selected texts from middle school language materials.By developing a classroom observation form and analyzing the results of three teachers’ classroom observations,problems in the implementation of moral education elements in the current classroom were identified.Chapter 4 puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions based on the problems existing in the implementation of moral education elements in middle school language textbooks.First,we should improve the teaching occupancy,and language education should take moral education as the first priority;second,we should deeply explore the moral education elements in the teaching materials;third,we should flexibly use teaching methods to enhance the effect of moral education. |
