Elementary school mathematics competitions have an irreplaceable role in getting out the potential of students,promoting mathematics education reform and identifying mathematical geniuses.In current practice,with various competitions and examinations at all levels,primary school students have been the mainstay of competitions,and participation in out-of-school training institutions has become the highest form of learning mathematics competitions.At present,due to the implementation of the "double deduction" policy,out-of-school training institutions are facing serious challenges,and in addition,Elementary school mathematics competitions have become a hot issue in education and society.In this paper,we investigate the situation of elementary school students learning competition mathematics in Dingcheng District,Changde City,to understand the impact of extra-curricular competition mathematics on curriculum learning before and after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,and use the interview method and classroom observation method to corroborate,in an attempt to explore the "double reduction" policy.In this study,we just looked for out how teachers should respond to extra-curricular mathematics learning in the context of the "double reduction" policy.Combining the problems found in the survey and the results of the teacher interviews,the author attempts to provide suggestions for teachers to deal with extracurricular competition mathematics learning.Firstly,teachers need to pay attention to students needs and help students correctly understand the relationship between extracurricular competition mathematics learning and curriculum learning;secondly,the classroom should be fully pre-designed and try to realize the hierarchy of teaching design;again,they should try to create a good classroom atmosphere for all students through variable teaching,scientific reasoning and answering,differential generation and taking care of students who have not learned extracurricular competition mathematics;in addition,they can assign homework in different levels to provide students with rich Finally,we provide students with guidance on learning strategies and psychological states.Theoretical research on competition mathematics education is not mature,the structure is not complete,and the knowledge is not systematic.Therefore,it is hoped that through a series of research studies,we can,on the one hand,jointly explore effective educational methods and establish a competition mathematics education system that is suitable for different mathematical levels,so that students can experience the charm of Olympiad,improve their mathematical literacy,and promote their growth and success.On the other hand,we hope to help mathematics teachers to grasp more accurately the differences and connections between general mathematics and competition mathematics,to deal with the contradictions between the two,to give students more positive and effective guidance,and to promote the improvement of education quality in all aspects.
