Practical problems in mathematics are one of the difficult points in high school teaching and also a frequently tested topic in college entrance examinations.The complexity of practical problems,the diversity of problem-solving methods,and the abundance of solution strategies pose higher requirements for students’ mathematical learning and application abilities.The "Revised Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools" points out that the core literacy in mathematics is a necessary skill for students and is gradually formed during the learning process.The cultivation and development of mathematical core literacy are important goals of mathematics teaching.Targeted mathematics teaching should be conducted according to the actual situations and needs of students to guide them in improving their mathematical modeling skills comprehensively.This study investigates the mastery of high school students in mathematical practical problems and the current situation of teaching through surveys of students and mathematics teachers.The results of the survey are summarized,and teaching principles and strategies that integrate mathematical modeling ideas are designed to develop teaching programs.The two classes of H high school in Hefei are selected as experimental subjects for the experiment,and the experimental data are analyzed in detail to explore the impact of integrating mathematical modeling into teaching high school mathematical practical problems on students.The main research issues of this paper are as follows:(1)Through investigation,explore the students to solve the actual problems?(2)What impact will the modeling teaching interventions designed by this researcher have on students’ learning effects?Through the analysis of the experimental results,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)According to the results of the survey,it is difficult for students to grasp the key points in the practical problems because the practical problems are abstract.Teachers lack relevant teaching experience in teaching,which leads to different degrees of difficulties in learning.Teachers lack confidence to carry out modeling activities,worry about the teaching effect is not good,the situation of integrating mathematical modeling thought into the teaching of practical problems is not ideal.(2)By integrating the idea of mathematical modeling into the teaching of high school mathematics practical problems,students’ academic performance and interest in learning have been improved to varying degrees.In conclusion,using mathematical modeling ideas to solve practical problems can help students learn mathematics,and integrating mathematical modeling ideas into practical problem teaching is feasible. |
