The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward that the fundamental task of education is to cultivate people by virtue.The ideological and political course is a new educational concept put forward to implement the fundamental task of moral education,which pays more attention to the systematic and comprehensive education of students,shaping students’ values while imparting knowledge,and promoting students’ lifelong development.At present,domestic scholars have done more research on the ideological and political teaching of biology curriculum in colleges and universities,but less on the ideological and political teaching of biology curriculum in junior high school.Compared with college students,middle school students have higher plasticity of emotional attitudes and values,and biology contains rich ideological and political elements.Therefore,carrying out the moral and political education in junior high school biology curriculum is an important way to implement the fundamental task of moral education.The purpose of this paper is to study the feasibility of the integration of ideological and political education in biology teaching in junior high school and to conduct a preliminary empirical study.This study takes junior high school biology teaching as the research object.Firstly,using the literature research method,this paper combs the research progress of ideological and political course at home and abroad,and defines the relevant concepts,and combs out the feasibility and necessity of the integration of biology teaching and ideological and political course.Secondly,through student questionnaires and teacher interviews,clarify the current situation of ideological and political integration of junior high school biology curriculum,and summarize the problems faced by the implementation of ideological and political curriculum.Thirdly,the author excavates the ideological and political elements and designs the ideological and political teaching cases.Finally,the teaching practice was carried out in a junior high school in Anhui Province.According to the evaluation scale and paper-and-pencil test results,the integration effect of ideological and political elements in junior high school biology teaching was measured.The progress achieved through the study is a follows:1.The survey and analysis of the students show that the ideological and political education of biology course has been initially implemented in biology teaching in middle schools,31.90% of the students say that teachers have carried out ideological and political education in biology class,and 61.70%think that ideological and Political Education in biology is helpful to learning and improving their interest in learning.2.Through interviews with front-line teachers,it is found that teachers generally understand the course of ideological and political education,but the degree of understanding is not deep,and only a small number of teachers said that they would often join the course of ideological and political education in the classroom.As for the obstacles to the implementation of ideological and political courses,teachers believe that they mainly come from the inaccurate grasp of ideological and political content,the phenomenon of social environment neglecting moral education and emphasizing intellectual education,etc.On the basis of this,the elements of curriculum thinking and politics in junior high school biology grade 7 were unearthed and compiled.3.According to the relevant literature,curriculum standards and subject textbooks,the ideological and political elements of biology are divided into five dimensions: national feelings,life concepts,scientific spirit,civic character and ecological civilization.4.The teaching design was carried out according to the subject content and the thinking politics elements,and the teaching practice was carried out in a middle school in a city to measure the effectiveness of the integration of the thinking politics elements of the curriculum in the teaching of junior high school biology according to the evaluation scale.The study found that the classes in which the curriculum thinking and politics teaching was carried out had different degrees of improvement in their thinking and politics attitudes on five dimensions: family and country,life concept,scientific spirit,civic character and ecological civilization,indicating that the junior high school biology curriculum thinking and politics has a better promotion effect on the formation of students’ emotional attitudes and values.
