| The General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(Revised2020,2017 Edition)make the development of students’ disciplinary core literacy a purpose of the curriculum,which represents a shift in the specific goals of disciplinary education from "three-dimensional goals" to "core literacy" and from a focus on This represents a shift in the specific objectives of subject education from "three-dimensional objectives" to "core literacy" and from focusing on the acquisition of knowledge to focusing on human development.The core literacy of biology includes four elements: idea of biological,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry and social responsibility.As a unique element of biology,the concept of life is the symbol and key of core literacy in biology.As an important part of biology teaching,homework is an extension and supplement of the classroom,and plays an important role in the comprehensive development of students’ knowledge and ability and the implementation of core literacy in biology.This study attempts to optimize the design of high school biology assignments for the purpose of cultivating the concept of life,so that the assignments can play a greater role in implementing students’ core literacy,in order to provide practical reference for front-line teachers.The study compares the research results on the idea of biological and homework design at home and abroad through the literature method,and defines the concepts of homework design and the concept of life.The study analyzed the basic situation of the proportion,overall level,and changes in scores of the idea of biological in the biology entrance examination questions in Guizhou Province in the past five years through the content analysis method.A survey was conducted using questionnaire method to investigate teachers and students in M High School in Guiyang City on the implementation of homework,homework design,and basic perceptions of teachers and students on the idea of biological.Based on the literature research,the analysis of the entrance examination questions and the findings of the survey on the current situation of homework design,this study proposes the basis,principles and strategies for the design of high school biology homework pointing to the concept of life:(1)In recent years,the college entrance examination has paid more and more attention to examine students’ comprehensive literacy and flexible application of knowledge.(2)The current high school biology homework has uniform homework content,single homework form,no obvious diversity,low teacher homework self-initiative,over-reliance on teaching materials,lack of relevance in implementing the concept of life in the current homework,and no division of literacy level to assign homework.(3)We optimized the existing high school biology homework in terms of homework content,homework form and homework materials,and proposed homework design strategies that point to the idea of biological: creating contexts as homework background materials to promote deep understanding of core concepts;constructing concept maps as a basis to promote the formation of core concept systems;and carrying out practical biology activities to internalize core concepts.(4)Homework design pointing to the formation of idea of biological can improve students’ performance in biology,can effectively help students to understand life phenomena,solve practical problems in biology,and improve students’ interest in learning biology,and students can learn through the contexts in homework materials to develop students’ idea of biological. |
