| On March 20,2020,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Schools and Universities in the New Era,which clearly put forward that labor education is an important part of the national education system and a necessary way for students to grow up,with comprehensive nurturing values of morality,intelligence,physical strength and beauty,and that schools should play a leading role in labor education.The Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in Biology(2022 Edition)puts forward the curriculum concept of "developing students’ core literacy in biology" and the requirement of "implementing labor education".Therefore,how to organically integrate labor education in biology teaching to cultivate students’ core literacy in biology is a major problem and challenge faced by front-line biology educators,and it is an urgent problem to be solved in the context of the implementation of the new curriculum standards.This study used survey method,literature research method,and action research method to investigate how to cultivate students’ core literacy in biology through integrating labor education in biology teaching.The results of the study showed that the integration of biology teaching and labor education in rural junior high schools was low,and it only remained at the theoretical level without labor practice.The biology textbooks in junior high schools contain very rich materials for labor education,which need to be explored in detail.In the teaching of biology in rural junior high schools,by analyzing the textbooks,digging deep into labor materials,studying the standards,grasping the integration requirements,focusing on practice,widening the path of integration,evaluating comprehensively,establishing multiple evaluation mechanisms and other strategies,integrating labor education from classroom teaching,experimental teaching,extracurricular homework,practical activities and other ways,can make students understand and apply biology knowledge more directly,improve students’ The integration of biology teaching and labor education can make students understand and apply biology knowledge more directly,improve students’ interest in learning biology and academic performance,and effectively cultivate students’ core literacy in biology.In the process of integrating biology teaching and labor education,the content of each integration path should be precisely selected and the activity process should be designed in detail,and the integration of biology teaching and labor education can bring out the best nurturing effect only with the support and cooperation of family,school and society.The integration of labor education in junior high school biology teaching is an important way for students to directly apply their biological knowledge and an effective way to cultivate students’ core literacy in biology.It is expected that this study can provide some reference and effective reference for rural junior high schools in integrating labor education in biology teaching. |
