As a major component of the vocational education system,secondary vocational education aims to cultivate high-quality skilled talents in response to social needs.The construction of the curriculum system and the quality of curriculum teaching in secondary vocational schools play a crucial role in cultivating high-quality skilled talents.When teaching courses that emphasize practicality and practicality,teachers should change their teaching methods to enhance students’ innovative and practical abilities,in order to meet their training plans and future market demands.Based on literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and other research methods,this paper analyzes and summarizes the literature related to STEAM concept and Case method,investigates the teaching of graphics and image processing courses in secondary vocational schools and summarizes the existing problems,and finds that the content of graphics and image processing courses contains interdisciplinary elements.Through analysis and sorting,it is concluded that the integration of STEAM concept and Case method meets the curriculum standards and professional needs,it can effectively improve many problems that exist in traditional teaching.Through the analysis of the characteristics of Case method under the STEAM concept,it is concluded that the Case method of Graphics and Image Processing in secondary vocational schools under the STEAM concept is feasible and advantageous.At the same time,according to the teaching idea of Case method under the STEAM concept,the teaching design of Case method under the STEAM concept was carried out.Taking the seventh unit as an example,the teaching design process of Case method of Graphic Image Processing in secondary vocational schools under the STEAM concept was introduced in detail,and the Case method under the STEAM concept was carried out in the graphic image processing course of Baoji X Vocational Education Center for a semester of teaching practice.Conduct research using experimental and control classes,and finally analyze and summarize the practical results.Through classroom observation,student performance comparison,questionnaire survey and interview analysis of the practice results,it is concluded that Case method under the STEAM concept is based on Case method,integrated with STEAM’s interdisciplinary advantages,and applied to the vocational operation oriented curriculum teaching,which has changed the traditional teaching form to a certain extent,and has received the support of most students,allowing students to use interdisciplinary knowledge to complete the case by themselves in practice,it has stimulated students’ interest in learning and improved their practical and innovative thinking abilities.The teaching design and practical process of this study can provide certain reference and reference value for the curriculum reform and teaching mode innovation of secondary vocational education.
