Development is the eternal theme of the times,and development calls for reform.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform in basic education,the implementation of the subject core literacy goals has become a key part of the new curriculum reform,and in the course of the curriculum reform,many new concepts and methods have emerged.The new curriculum reform calls for front-line teachers to take big concepts and big units as a grip to reorganize teaching contents,transform from the knowledge-based teaching objectives to the literacy-based ones,and transform from the traditional "lessons,boxes and items" to big units of teaching.This move responds to the requirements of the "three new reforms" and gives better play to the value of the key curriculum of the ideological and political science subject of soul-cultivation.In this paper,with the purpose of promoting the optimal implementation of large-unit teaching in high school ideology and politics classes and the starting point of improving the teaching quality of high school ideology and politics classes,we analyze the basic concepts and theoretical foundations of large-unit teaching,large-unit teaching design,and large-unit teaching implementation by integrating the background of the "three new reforms" and the core issue of cultivating disciplinary core literacy.The basic concepts and theoretical foundations of large units,large unit teaching design and large unit teaching implementation are analyzed;the professional quality and educational concept of teachers are combined with teaching design,and the new requirements of large unit teaching for high school Civics teachers are analyzed.Based on the basic concept of "student-centered" and the goal of implementing core literacy,the large unit teaching of high school ideology and politics is based on the law of students’ physical and mental development,adding and reorganizing the contents of teaching materials,forming a knowledge system with internal logic and easy to remember,and using contexts,tasks,and activities to help students to understand the content of teaching materials."trinity" to help students combine knowledge learning with life practice and social reality.At present,the large unit teaching of high school Civics has been recognized by the majority of teachers,but there are still some problems in teaching practice,mainly in the teaching content is complicated,the difficulty of lesson preparation;teaching objectives are confusing,the implementation of greater difficulties;teaching evaluation is single,lack of practical experience;teaching activities are solidified,the lack of integration effect and other problems.The reasons for this are the lack of professionalism of some teachers,the unclear concept of large unit teaching,the lack of teachers’ innovation consciousness and the lack of timely feedback on the quality of large unit teaching implementation.Based on the problems and causes in the design and implementation of large units,this paper proposes strategies to optimize the design and implementation of large units in high school ideology and politics.Firstly,in the design stage,the teaching content is systematically integrated from four elements: large units as the framework,higher-order thinking as the goal,life situations as the means,and large tasks as the grasp.the teaching objectives of large units are set in a way that combines the content of textbooks,connects with core literacy,connects with problem and task lines,and highlights important and difficult points;the situations and topics are chosen to drive the realization of large tasks and the evaluation methods are set with the principle of combining comprehensiveness and process.Secondly,in the implementation stage,the "three unities" principle of unification of knowledge,ability and emotion,attitude and value,unification of topic,situation and task,and unification of teaching,learning and evaluation is highlighted.Lastly,under the guidance of this principle,through the implementation of the three processes of "introduction before class,awakening during class,and consolidation after class",we strive to achieve the core academic subjects.Under the guidance of this principle,the three processes of "introduction before class,awakening during class,and consolidation after class" are implemented in order to cultivate the core literacy of the discipline.
