Nowadays,countries around the world attach great importance to secondary history education,and secondary school history textbooks are also valued as the carrier of secondary school history education.Due to the different economic conditions,historical processes,political and cultural development patterns and customs of various countries,the history textbooks of various countries have their own unique characteristics.By comparing the history textbooks of various countries,we can not only understand the differences in the understanding of history between countries,but also see the differences in educational concepts between countries.Therefore,comparing the similarities and differences between the textbooks of the two countries is an important way of education and research,and there is less comparison between Chinese and Russian history textbooks in countries around the world,so this article chooses to compare Chinese and Russian history textbooks for comparison.World War II had an important impact on the history of both China and Russia and was an important carrier for patriotic education.For some historical and practical reasons,China and Russia attach great importance to patriotic education for students.Therefore,by comparing the differences in the narrative of this content between the two countries and analyzing the reasons for the differences in this content in the textbooks of the two countries,we can understand the differences in middle school history teaching between China and Russia,and provide a reference for China’s secondary school history teaching.The article compares textbooks prepared with the participation of Chinese and Russian countries,and the paper is divided into four parts.The first part compares the differences between the curriculum standards of the two countries from the aspects of curriculum objectives,course content and evaluation methods.The second part briefly introduces the beginning of World War II,the process of World War II,and the disposal of defeated countries after the war in the textbooks of the two countries.The third part is to analyze the differences between the textbooks of the two countries by comparing the text and auxiliary text systems of the two countries.Finally,in the fourth part,we analyze the reasons for the differences in the narrative of the same issue between the two countries and what the Russian textbook way of describing this content has for the teaching of secondary school history in our country.
