Research On Social Work Involving Urban Community Elderly Service

At present,China has entered an aging society.The rapid development of population aging has brought many problems to the society and family life.The most important problem is the old-age care of the elderly.In addition,many factors of social vicissitudes lead to the decline of the function of urban family pension,faced with the weakening trend of family pension,and vigorously develop community pension services;Under the existing social environment and policy environment,this paper,from the perspective of social work,integrates social work into the community pension service to provide more professional pension service for the elderly in the community,enrich the elderly life and enhance the happiness of the elderly group.In this paper,the elderly in xx community of Changsha City as the object of service,based on the theory of social support and the theory of elderly activities,using the social work methods of group work and community work to carry out community elderly care services.In the early stage,through questionnaire survey and interview method,the author made an in-depth analysis of the problems existing in the elderly care service of xx community and the needs of the elderly,and learned that the needs of the elderly in the community are increasingly diversified,not only the material needs,but also the spiritual needs are increasing,but the services provided by the community themselves are relatively insufficient.In addition to the lack of community endowment service team talents,many elderly people’s needs for community endowment service can not be met.In the face of these problems and needs,after understanding the goals and methods of social work,the method of group work and community work is used in the middle stage to intervene in community services for the elderly,in order to meet the growing material and cultural needs of the elderly.Carry out volunteer service group activities for the elderly on the theoretical basis of social support,and set up one-to-one help activities,so that the elderly can not only help others,but also reflect their own advantages and values;Carry out various types of community activities based on the elderly activity theory to meet the needs of the elderly for social participation and narrow the distance between the elderly in the community;After the activity,the corresponding results were evaluated and summarized.The spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly were satisfied to a certain extent,the elderly’s sense of belonging to the community was also improved,and the theories and skills of social work were given full play in practice,which improved the identity and professional quality of social workers.Finally,it reflects on the intervention of social work in community elderly care services,reflects on the existing problems,and puts forward the following suggestions for community elderly care services: Establish a professional community endowment team,improve the community endowment service system,strengthen the publicity of community endowment,expand the audience group of community endowment,improve the professional level of social workers,give full play to their professional advantages,provide more quality community endowment service,link internal and external resources,to carry out a variety of community activities to provide strong support.
