| Textbook exercises are an extension of the content of the textbook,and the compiling implies the nature and basic concepts of the curriculum.The rational use of textbook exercises can help students consolidate knowledge,expand thinking,guide students to solve practical problems,and help improve students’ core literacy in the subject.Therefore,this paper takes the 2019 General High School Textbook Series Biology Selective Compulsory 1 "Homeostasis and Regulation" published by People’s Education Press and Beijing Normal University Press as the research objects,analyzes and compares the research from four aspects: the consistency of the exercises and curriculum standards,the surface structure of the exercises,the deep structure of the exercises,and the core literacy contained in the exercises,so as to better apply the exercises to teaching.Through comparative analysis,the consistency coefficient between the exercises and the curriculum standards in the two versions of the textbook is above 0.5,which is the acceptable level.On the surface structure of the exercises,the People’s Education Edition clearly classifies the exercises after each section;the total number of exercises and the average number of exercises after each section in the Beijing Normal University edition are higher than those in the People’s Education Edition.The types of exercises in the People’s Education Edition pay more attention to the basics,while the types of exercises in the Beijing Normal University version focus more on the cultivation and improvement of competence.The information presentation of the exercises in the People’s Education Edition is relatively concise and basic,while the information of the exercises in the Beijing Normal University edition is scientific and intuitive,and concentrates more on the cultivation of students’ ability to obtain information.In terms of the depth of knowledge of exercises,the exercises in the two editions of the textbook are mainly at the level of "understanding",and the proportion of "understanding" in the Beijing Normal University version is higher than that in the People’s Education Edition.In terms of the breadth of knowledge of exercises,more than 90% of the exercises in the two editions of the textbook contain one knowledge point;In terms of the creation of exercise situations,both textbooks focus on solving problems in situations,but the People’s Education Edition focuses on the creation of life,learning and practice situations,while the Beijing Normal University edition focuses on the creation of scientific experiments and exploration situations.The combined difficulty of the two versions of the textbook is comparable.From the perspective of the core literacy contained in the exercises,the concept of life is the most widely covered in the two versions of the textbook exercises,and the exercises containing the concept of life and social responsibility in the People’s Education Edition account for a larger proportion of than the Beijing Normal University Edition.In view of the diversity of exercises in the two editions of the textbook,exercises can be used from multiple angles and levels in teaching.The exercise materials are processed and used for classroom introduction,which can stimulate students’ interest;using exercise materials to analyze in class can cultivate students’ scientific thinking;the use of exercises for in-class test can enhance students’ understanding of concepts;using exercises as after-school activities promotes students’ social responsibility. |
