A Study Of Laborers’ Images In Illustrations Of Junior High School Textbooks

Since it was officially put into use in 2016,the textbook of "Morality and the Rule of Law" focuses on improving moral and intellectual education,strengthening physical education and aesthetic education,and implementing labor education as emphasized by a series of documents issued by the state.The social life scenes presented in the textbook are very rich,which has natural advantages in infiltrating labor education and showing the image of workers.As an important part of the teaching material,illustrations can directly present and shape the image of workers while stimulating students’ interest and enriching teaching resources.The image of workers in the illustrations of the textbook can vividly convey the mainstream culture and value of social labor to students,deepen students’ understanding of the nature of labor,and finally make students form positive labor feelings,attitudes and values by relying on the image of workers in the textbook.This study for the edition of junior high school morality and the rule of law textbooks,textbook laborer images and textbook illustrations collects and arranges in literature,on the basis of the existing research finds,and consults the character-related research,constructs the moral and rule of law textbook illustrations of laborer image of external attribute analysis,intrinsic attribute analysis and rendering way analysis of three-dimensional research tools.With age,gender and occupation,the external attributes of the age,emotional character,spiritual character and practical character,the internal attributes of the worker,and the way of the image.The paper makes the overall statistics of the illustrations in the six textbooks of morality and rule of law compiled by the ministry,and analyzes them according to the above three dimensions to show the characteristics of the construction of the image of the workers in the textbook.According to the analysis results,this study finds that the image illustrations of workers in the textbook of "Morality and the Rule of law" compiled by the department have good visual effect,vivid images and a combination of pictures and pictures.However,there are still the following problems in the image shaping of workers: the imbalance of gender ratio and identity construction of workers;the low proportion of the image of young workers;the imbalance of cultural character,emotional character and spiritual character of workers’ image;and the lack of attention to the influence of cognitive load.Combined with the above problems,this research tries to put forward optimization suggestions from the perspectives of textbook writers and front-line teachers.First,for the textbook writers,increase the image of female workers in the illustrations of Morality and Rule of Law;include the multi-dimensional workers;highlight the cultural,emotional and spiritual character of the workers;and increase the number of illustrations to enrich the connotation of the illustrations.Secondly,for the front-line teachers,they can deepen the cognition of the illustration function in the teaching materials;strengthen the awareness of the teaching materials,supplement the images,and develop the image of the workers.
