With the acceleration of urbanization, more and more left-behind children have been paid more and more attention. In recent years,it has been reported that the detection rate of depression in Chinese adolescents is as high as 24.6%.It can be seen that services for left-behind children should not only focus on material help, but also attention should be paid to the mental illness of left-behind children.Under the guidance of social support theory and welfare pluralism theory, from the perspective of social work professionals, through field research, this study deeply understands the adverse childhood experiences,depression,parent-child relationship,teacher-student relationship and peer relationship of left-behind children. Then, with adverse childhood experiences as the independent variable, depression as the dependent variable, parentchild relationship,teacher-student relationship and peer relationship as the moderating variable,we explore the current social support network of left-behind children and the moderating effect of different relationships on the influence of adverse childhood experiences on depression. This study adopts quantitative and qualitative methods, and finds that:(1)leftbehind children are more likely to experience more adverse childhood experiences than non-left-behind children, and left-behind girls generally have more adverse childhood experiences than left-behind boys;(2)Both the non-left-behind children and left-behind children had scores higher than 7 points on the depression scale, and both were likely to suffer from depression, but the left-behind children were more likely to suffer from depression than the non-left-behind children;(3)The adverse childhood experiences of left-behind children are positively correlated with their depression, and the adverse childhood experiences of left-behind children can predict their depression;(4)The parent-child relationship and teacher-student relationship of left-behind children have no moderating effect on the influence of adverse childhood experiences on depression, but the moderating effect of peer relationship is more significant. The interview found that: left-behind children are easy to establish a close peer relationship with other leftbehind children.Common experiences make them sympathize with each other and support each other.Peer relationship plays a role in relieving and preventing depression of left-behind children. In the future, more attention should be paid to the social status of left-behind children and their peers. |
