In recent years, the physical activity level of teenagers in our country tends to decline, the problem of students’ physical health is widely concerned.Physical education classroom is an important place for students to carry out medium-high intensity physical activity(MVPA),which is of great significance to students’ physical health.Physical education teacher’s active supervision behavior will affect students’ level of medium to high intensity physical activity in physical education and health class. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the active supervision behavior of PE teachers in class. At present,a small number of researches in our country have measured students’ MVPA level in physical education and health classes using objective measurement tools, however, there are insufficient studies on the effect of teachers’ positive supervision behaviors on students’ MVPA level. Therefore, starting from teachers’ classroom teaching behavior, this study explores the influence of PE teachers’ active supervision behavior on high school students’ MVPA level by observing the active supervision behavior of PE teachers and students’ MVPA level in high school basketball classes. In this study, literature analysis, video analysis, mathematical statistics and other research methods,TMAS observation tool,STOP observation tool and SOFIT observation tool were used to observe and analyze physical education teachers’ active supervision behavior and students’ MVPA level in 30 basketball lessons from two perspectives of teaching content and teaching methods, and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)In basketball class, the management behavior of teachers in single-technology teaching is more frequent than that in combined technology teaching and tactical teaching. In single-technology teaching and combined technology teaching, teachers use targeted verbal feedback more often, while in tactical teaching, teachers use general verbal feedback more often. In basketball class with teaching competition, teachers’ regional change frequency, verbal feedback behavior and physical activity promotion behavior are more, while in basketball class without teaching competition, teachers have more observation behavior on students’ skill learning and classroom performance.(2)In basketball class, technical and tactical teaching content has no significant impact on students’ MVPA level, while teaching competition has a significant impact on students’ MVPA level.(3)Teachers’ regional change frequency, physical promotion behavior, positive feedback behavior to skills and positive feedback behavior to social behavior have a positive impact on students’ MVPA level. In view of the above three research conclusions, the following three research suggestions are put forward:(1)According to different teaching contents, physical education teachers should choose adaptive active supervision behaviors to improve classroom teaching quality and student learning outcomes.Flexibly adjust feedback methods and management behaviors. In single-technique and combined-technique teaching, physical education teachers can increase the frequency of using targeted feedback behaviors. In tactical teaching, physical education teachers can increase the frequency of using general feedback behaviors. They should ensure classroom order and teaching effectiveness while stimulating students’ interests and initiative.(2)Physical education teachers should pay attention to students’ physical development while teaching skills, rationally arrange the time and form of teaching games, make them an effective means to improve students’ MVPA level, and also promote students’ technical and tactical abilities and team cooperation awareness.(3)In class, physical education teachers should actively move around, use more behaviors such as promoting physical fitness and positive feedback to enhance student participation and confidence, increase interaction with students, encourage them to participate in activities related to physical fitness, and improve their MVPA levels. |
