Xi Jinping,general secretary of the Communist Party of China,has pointed out that adolescence is the "booting stage" of life.During this period,the students gradually become mentally sound and need teachers’ careful guidance and cultivation.For young people,their career values and career choices are important manifestations of their life ideals and value pursuits,and serve as the navigational coordinates for their life planning.Carrying out career education among high school students can help them have a more accurate understanding of themselves,choose their university major direction more reasonably,and plan their career earlier.It is of great significance to promote the comprehensive development of high school students and enhance the effectiveness of high school ideological and political courses.The first chapter explains the connotation,characteristics,and basic content of high school career education.By using theoretical analysis,the concepts of career,career education,and high school career education were elaborated in detail.High school career education has the characteristics of preparation,practicality,and synergy.In the complex and ever-changing context of the times,the basic content of high school career education mainly includes a comprehensive understanding of oneself,cultivating students’ awareness of career planning,guiding students to establish correct career views,and improving their ability to make career choices.The second chapter analyzes the feasibility of conducting career education in high school philosophy and culture teaching.Through the study of the high school textbook ’Philosophy and Culture’,the feasibility of carrying out career education in the teaching of ’Philosophy and Culture’ in high school was deeply analyzed from three aspects: teaching objectives,teaching content,and teaching methods.On the basis of empirical research,the third chapter analyzes the current situation of career education in high school philosophy and culture teaching.There are currently some problems in carrying out career education in the teaching of "Philosophy and Culture" in high school,mainly manifested as: insufficient self-awareness and lack of career awareness among high school students;Insufficient development and utilization of career education resources by teachers;The way teachers carry out career education is relatively single.The main reasons for the existing problems include: students and parents blindly pursue grades and do not attach importance to career education;Some teachers lack the awareness and ability to carry out career education;The training effect of schools on teachers’ educational abilities is not satisfactory;Lack of evaluation indicators for career education.The four chapter proposes effective strategies to address the main issues in carrying out career education in high school philosophy and culture teaching: based on students’ needs,strengthening students’ career cognition;Integrate teaching resources to stimulate students’ professional interests;Sort out the content of the textbook and cultivate students’ professional awareness;Enrich teaching methods and enhance students’ ability to make career choices.While analyzing effective strategies,teaching examples were also designed as reference materials.
