In order to implement the concept of the new curriculum standard, improve student’s core quality of mathematics and cultivate student’s innovative consciousness, the education of mathematical problem raising ability should be permeated in the high school mathematics classroom. Therefore, this paper is a study of the status quo of sophomore students’ ability to put forward mathematical problems in plane analytic geometry.Based on the constructivism theory and the area of proximal development theory, this paper adopts the questionnaire survey method, interview method and statistical analysis method to study the current situation of sophomore students in plane analytic geometry, and draws the following conclusions:(1)The better the students’ foundation, the better the ability to put forward mathematical problems;(2)Boys are better than girls in putting forward mathematical problems in plane analytic geometry;(3)Students’ ability to propose mathematical problems in plane analytic geometry is poor on the whole;(4)Students’ thinking is broad and fluent, but lack of deep thinking and originality.Based on the above research conclusions,it can be concluded that students’ learning interest, mastery of plane analytic geometry knowledge, students’ awareness of asking questions, teachers’ teaching methods and classroom learning atmosphere can significantly positively affect students’ ability to propose mathematical problems in plane analytic geometry.According to the above factors, this paper puts forward the following strategies to improve students’ ability of presenting mathematical problems: Reasonably create the problem situation;Pay attention to the "independent, cooperative, inquiry" learning mode;Permeate mathematical thought method;Use metacognitive strategies;Pay attention to teachers’ inspiration and guidance.
