The rule of law is the basic strategy of the Party to lead the people to govern the country,and it is also the basic guarantee to build a socialist China under the rule of law.As the successors of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics,young people are in the "plucking and gestation period" of cognitive development,and strengthening their cultivation of the concept of rule of law is an important part of promoting the construction of a country under the rule of law.The newly revised Curriculum Standards for Ethics and the Rule of Law in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)includes "the concept of the rule of law" as one of the five core qualities of the subject of ethics and the rule of law,with the aim of giving full play to the key role of ethics and the rule of law classes in popularizing students’ general knowledge of law,cultivating their ability to use the law,and enhancing their literacy in the rule of law,so that they can become faithful admirers,conscious adherents,and firm defenders of the socialist rule of law.Based on the above background,it is of theoretical significance and practical value to study how to cultivate students’ concept of rule of law more effectively and scientifically in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school.Using literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and other research methods,we studied the cultivation of students’ concept of rule of law in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law class in junior high school from the following four aspects:firstly,we defined the connotation of the concept of rule of law and analyzed the theoretical basis of cultivating students’ concept of rule of law by combining the existing research results.Secondly,the necessity of cultivating students’ concept of rule of law in junior high school Morality and Rule of Law class is explained from the perspective of students,the content of teaching materials,the core literacy of the subject and the construction of the rule of law state,and the feasibility of cultivating students’ concept of rule of law in junior high school Morality and Rule of Law class is discussed from three aspects: the reform of basic education curriculum,the construction of Morality and Rule of Law teaching materials system and the construction of teachers’ team in Civics and Political Science class.Again,from the empirical study,the problems of cultivating students’ concept of rule of law in the current teaching of Morality and Rule of Law in junior high school are investigated,which are mainly manifested in four aspects:teachers’ insufficient understanding of cultivating the concept of rule of law,students’ weak awareness of learning and using the law,slightly single classroom teaching methods,and empty and abstract rule of law teaching contents,The reasons are: teachers’ professional level of rule of law needs to be improved,students’ interest in learning rule of law is lacking,the way of teaching rule of law is not explored enough,and there is a disconnect between knowledge and action in cultivating rule of law concept.Finally,in view of the existing problems,we advocate deepening teachers’ understanding and improving their professional level of rule of law;stimulating students’ interest and raising their awareness of learning and using the law;improving teaching methods and continuously optimizing rule of law teaching methods;and carrying out practical teaching to enrich the content of cultivating the concept of rule of law. |
