General Secretary Xi Jinping In the symposium for teachers of ideological and political Theory courses held on March 18,2019,it was clearly emphasized that: "Teenagers are at the ’jointing and booting stage’ of their lives and need the most careful guidance and cultivation,Teachers should innovate classroom teaching by learning dialectical materialism and historical materialism,cultivate students’ lofty ideals and beliefs,and learn correct thinking methods." As one of the core qualities of the ideological and political discipline in senior high school,the main goal of scientific spirit is to cultivate students’ scientific world outlook,outlook on life and values.Due to the rapid development of network information technology,all kinds of information good and bad,high school students are in the world outlook,outlook on life,values of the preliminary formation and key stage,they are extremely vulnerable to a variety of ideas and foreign values.Therefore,we should strengthen the cultivation of high school students’ scientific spiritual accomplishment,guide them to adhere to the scientific world outlook and methodology of Marxism,and help high school students to make correct value judgment and behavior choice for personal growth,social progress,national development and human civilization.It is of great practical significance for them to form scientific and correct value orientation,independent rational spirit and questioning and critical thinking quality.Through the research on the Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition,2020 revision)and the contents of the four compulsory textbooks for senior high school ideology and politics,it is found that the textbooks of Philosophy and Culture carry a large part of the content about the cultivation of scientific spiritual accomplishment.Therefore,the research is carried out with the "Philosophy and Culture" of senior high school as a case study.Focusing on the topic of cultivating students’ scientific spirit,this paper investigates the current situation of cultivating students’ scientific spirit in the teaching of Philosophy and Culture in senior high schools in Guangxi by means of questionnaire survey and interview.The investigation results show that the teaching of Philosophy and Culture has achieved some results in the cultivation of scientific spirit.The teachers have explored some effective teaching experience in the cultivation of scientific spirit,and the students’ scientific spirit accomplishment has been improved.But at the same time,it is found that there are some shortcomings: the teaching goal of cultivating scientific spirit is fuzzy,the teaching method of cultivating scientific spirit is simple,and the quality of students’ questioning and critical thinking needs to be improved.In view of these problems,this paper analyzes the results of the investigation,and finds that a few teachers lack the professional quality of cultivating scientific spirit,there is a deviation from the goal of cultivating scientific spirit in teaching,there is a lack of practical activities inside and outside the classroom to cultivate scientific spirit,and schools lack a variety of evaluation methods for cultivating scientific spirit.In order to improve the effectiveness of the cultivation of scientific spirit,the following strategies are put forward in view of the causes of the problems: First,teachers should pay attention to improving their own quality and give full play to the leading role of the cultivation of scientific spirit;Second,teachers should fully study the curriculum standards and textbooks to clarify the orientation of scientific spirit;Third,adopt a variety of teaching methods to enhance the effectiveness of cultivating scientific spirit;Fourth,improve students’ learning ability,stimulate scientific spirit and cultivate subjectivity;The fifth is to improve the teaching evaluation system and implement the orientation of scientific spirit cultivation.
