Novel teaching has always been an essential part of junior high school Chinese language teaching.In the unified edition of junior high school Chinese language textbooks,there is a distribution of novel texts in all three grades,and there has been an examination of the learning ability of novels in the Chinese language test papers of the past six years.In order to effectively understand the current situation of the teaching of Chinese novels in junior high schools,questionnaires and interviews were used to collect relevant data from teachers and students.The analysis found that the current teaching of Chinese novels in junior high schools still had problems such as knowledge fragmentation,teaching fragmentation,and insufficient migration.The big concept is an abstract and transferable summary extracted from facts,which is a more systematic and core summary of knowledge.It has characteristics such as authenticity,transferability,and continuity,and can be integrated into a single novel.To address the current problems in the teaching of Chinese novels in junior high schools,the concept theory is introduced into the unit teaching of Chinese novels in junior high schools,and a new path for teaching Chinese novels in junior high schools is explored.Select three novels from the fourth unit of the ninth grade Chinese textbook for junior high school students,and design a novel unit teaching plan centered on big concepts.By extracting the core big concepts of the unit that understand the plot of the novel through comparative techniques,set up real situations,and design three unit tasks: grasping the key content of the three novels within the unit,using comparative techniques to read the novel,and writing an essay on the theme of "Youth Growth",Pay attention to process evaluation and subjective evaluation,combine qualitative evaluation with quantitative evaluation,and conduct teaching practice and reflection summary.Thus,specific and feasible teaching cases are proposed for the teaching of junior high school novel units.The full text is divided into four parts:The first part mainly elaborates on the origin and purpose of the research,and provides a corresponding review of the current research status of "big concept","novel unit teaching",and "single text".By sorting out the literature,it provides a basis for the practice and research of novel unit teaching guided by big concepts.The second part mainly introduces the meaning,characteristics,design principles,and implementation process of the major concepts.The third part,based on the analysis of the writing characteristics of the selected novels in the unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks,the distribution of novel questions in the Fujian Province junior high school entrance examination Chinese test paper,and the ability to assess them,clarifies the importance of current novel teaching,and analyzes the current situation of junior high school Chinese novel teaching through questionnaire surveys;Prove through teaching cases that the novel unit teaching based on the integration of big concepts is feasible.The fourth part mainly focuses on teaching design,teaching practice,and teaching summary.Taking the fourth unit of the ninth grade first volume of the unified edition as an example,"Hometown","My Uncle Yu Le",and "Lonely Journey" will be used to carry out the teaching of novel units guided by the concept.Design unit learning tasks with the theme of "Youth Growth",analyze teaching effectiveness through teaching results and evaluation,and conduct teaching reflection and summary.
