| After General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the construction of "integrated ideological and political education" for primary, secondary, and tertiary schools at a symposium for ideological and political education teachers in schools, schools at all levels across the country actively promoted this and achieved significant results. In the context of "integrated ideological and political education," the core literacy of high school ideological and political subjects is the concentrated embodiment of the value of subject education, among which political identity literacy is the primary standard for cultivating young people. Therefore, enhancing the cultivation of political identity literacy for high school students is particularly critical.Based on the integration of ideological and political education in primary, secondary, and high schools, this article conducted a survey at a sample school through student questionnaires and data analysis to obtain first-hand materials. It was found that although current high school students have achieved certain results in cultivating core political identity literacy, there are still problems such as cognitive ambiguity, emotional alienation, and lack of practice. The root cause of these problems lies in the need for teachers to change their teaching concepts, improve students’ political identity literacy, and strengthen the integration of teaching materials. Therefore,as a key stage in the integration of ideological and political education in primary, secondary, and high schools, the teaching of ideological and political courses in high school must follow the principles of generativity, contemporaneity, and practicality in cultivating political identity literacy. It is necessary to strengthen the cultivation of students’ political identity literacy by transforming teaching concepts, improving teachers’ ability to educate students, using teaching resources effectively, deepening the interpretation of teaching materials, and promoting orderly connection between different stages of education. |
